Abstract:
Real-time location systems and methods use small, battery operated sensors and radios. The radios conform to the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. The radios are attached to objects to form mobile nodes. Fixed nodes are positioned to define a wired or wireless mesh network representing an area in which the objects can be monitored and tracked. The real-time location systems/methods provide robust, flexible and highly scalable systems/methods for remotely, accurately, efficiently, and/or readily tracking and securing objects (e.g., equipment, inventory, people) at a relatively low cost.

Abstract:
The subject matter of the invention is a lining tube as a composite tube for lining a pressure pipe to be renovated, comprising at least one first layer (1) and a second layer (2) which adjoins the first layer (1), the first layer (1) forming a substantially fluid-tight and/or gas-tight diffusion barrier and the second layer (2) being a textile fabric soaked in a resin and being provided for an all-over adhesive connection to an inner wall of the pressure pipe to be renovated, the lining tube being flexible in a state in which the resin has not cured. The second layer (2) is at least 3 mm thick, the textile fabric and the resin being selected such that the lining tube forms a self-supporting pipe in a state in which the resin has cured. The invention also relates to a method for renovating a pressure pipe using such a lining tube and a corresponding renovated pressure pipe.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a pipeline regeneration pipe with which necessary strength can be ensured by means of the inserted regeneration pipe itself without the necessity of grouting, the regeneration pipe being characterized by being configured of an inner wound flexible resin layer (5d) which constitutes the inner layer of a straight pipe part (5b), an outer wound flexible resin layer (5e) laminated on the outer surface of the inner wound flexible resin layer and constitutes the outer layer of the straight pipe part, and a protruded rim part (5c) helically formed on the outer surface of the outer wound flexible resin layer, the protruded rim part (5c) being configured by a rigid-resin core (5g) helically wound, and a core-covering part (5f) integrated with the outer wound flexible resin layer so as to surround the rigid-resin core.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a preformed liner adhered to the surface of a pipe, and in particular, an oil well pipe, by an adhesive. The liner comprises a polymer, preferably a fluoropolymer. The present invention also relates to a process for adhering the preformed liner to the interior surface of a pipe, and in particular by applying adhesive to the preformed liner. The liner is preferably treated prior to applying the adhesive. A suitable treatment includes etching. The pipe is heated to adhere the preformed liner to the interior surface of the pipe, without buckling the liner. The interior surface of the preformed fluoropolymer liner reduces the deposition of at least one of 1) asphaltenes, 2) paraffin wax, and 3) inorganic scale by at least 40% as compared to the interior surface of the oil pipe without the preformed liner being present.
Abstract:
The method is related to the rehabilitation of an existing pipeline in-situ, where the pipeline has a first end (1) and a second end (4), the method including the following steps: (a) forming a tubular liner (6) of a generally absorbent material; (b) feeding at least one expandable bladder (3) into the liner (6), the bladder having an open end (14) and a sealed end (5); (c) impregnating the liner (6) with a cold curable resin; (d) coating an external surface of the liner (6) and/or the internal surface of the pipeline to be rehabilitated with a water resistance adhesive coating; (e) feeding the liner into the first end (1) of the pipeline together with its associated bladder (3); (f) inserting a rod (2) into the bladder (3) to engage the sealed end (5); (g) forcing the liner (6) and the associated bladder (3) toward the second end (4) of the pipeline from the first end (1) such that the open end (14) and the sealed end (5) of the bladder (3) are adjacent the first and second ends (1, 4) respectively; (h) inflating the bladder (3) from the open end (14) with a gaseous fluid to force the liner (6) against the internal wall of the pipeline; and (i) maintaining the inflation until the resin impregnated liner has cured.
