摘要： Des macrostructures polymères absorbantes (52) et poreuses comprennent un agrégat réticulé interparticulaire ayant un volume à sec circonscrit de plus de 10,0 mm3. L'agrégat réticulé interparticulaire comprend une multiplicité de particules précurseurs d'un matériau polymère absorbant pratiquement insoluble dans l'eau et formant un hydrogel; et un agent de réticulation interparticulaire qui est amené à réagir avec le matériau polymère des particules précurseurs pour former des liaisons réticulées entre lesdites particules. En raison de la nature particulaire des particules précurseurs, la macrostructure (52) comporte des pores entre des particules précurseurs contiguës. Les pores sont reliés entre eux par des canaux qui communiquent entre eux de manière à ce que la macrostructure soit perméable aux liquides.

摘要： A pouch package, containing a volatile solution-impregnated patch, is made of a peelable barrier film. The pouch envelops an absorbent substrate saturated preferably with bug repellent fluid. A PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) coated backing film is laminated to the absorbent substrate. The backing film has a connecting portion which is peelably sealed to the inside of the pouch. When the pouch is peeled open, the PSA coated backing film is exposed and placed against a target surface, such as a patch wearer's clothing. Finally, the side of the pouch facing the absorbent substrate is peeled off the backing film connecting portion to expose the absorbent substrate. A key to functionality of the pouch package is differential adhesion. First, the pouch barrier film must be peelable from itself, yet it must not adhere to the pressure sensitive adhesive on the backing film. A release paper may be used to cover the PSA when peeling the pouch open. Second, the pouch film must be peelable from the backing film connecting portion without disturbing the bond between the fastening surface and the target surface. Third, the backing film must be laminated to the absorbent substrate more strongly than the PSA adheres to the backing film, so that when the patch is removed from the target surface, the PSA stays with the patch.

The containers may include: a multiple dose product volume; a structural support frame that supports the product volume in a stand-up orientation; a dispenser; and a flow channel in fluid communication with the product volume and the dispenser. The flow channel may be made from flexible materials forming a sealed leg of a gusset. Fluent product may flow from the product volume, through the flow channel, and out the dispenser when the container is externally compressed. The sealed leg of the gusset has a first side and a second side. The first side of the sealed leg of the gusset has opaque decoration that overlays substantially all of the flow channel, and the second side of the sealed leg of the gusset has one or more non-opaque portions that overlay the flow channel.
