The present invention is an aromatic polyamide film, which is a laminated film consisting of at least two layers, comprising an aromatic polyamide and 0.1 wt% to 10 wt% of at least one or more different polymers, being contained at least in the outermost layer (layer A) of the film, subject to the condition that the following formulae are satisfied where d is the thickness of the layer A ( mu m); t, the circle equivalent diameter of the isles of the different polymer ( mu m); L, the major axis of the isles ( mu m); and s, the minor axis of the isles ( mu m). The aromatic polyamide film of the present invention is especially useful as a base film of a magnetic recording medium with high productivity since it is free from the wrinkling and weaving caused at the time of film winding and excellent in abrasion resistance on the film surface.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polylactic acid-based film which has excellent flexibility, heat resistance, bleed-out resistance and durability, and which has good workability such as stretching, embossing, etc. so as to exhibit satisfactory water vapor permeability. This polylactic acid-based film comprises a polylactic acid-based resin as a resin (A), a thermoplastic resin other than the polylactic acid-based resin as a resin (B), and a compound treated with a surface treatment agent as a filler (C), and is characterized in that the polylactic acid-based resin includes a crystalline polylactic acid-based resin and an amorphous polylactic acid-based resin, and by being composed of a composition containing 10-95 mass% of the resin (A) and 5-90 mass% of the resin (B) in a total of 100 mass% of the resins (A) and (B) as well as containing 10-400 parts by mass of the filler (C) with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the resins (A) and (B).

There is provided an aromatic polyamide porous film consisting of a porous film composed mainly of an aromatic polyamide, characterized in that on at least one major surface thereof, when the range of section area S μm2 is measured by means of an atomic force microscope, the section area at a depth of 10 nm from the top surface, S(10) μm2, and the section area at a depth of 20 nm from the top surface, S(20) μm2, simultaneously satisfy the relationships: 0.01≤S(10)/S≤0.3, and 5≤S(20)/S(10)≤20.

The invention provides a porous film including a polylactic acid based resin (A), a thermoplastic resin (B) that is not a polylactic acid based resin, and a filler (C), wherein resin (A) and resin (B) account for 10 to 95 mass% and 5 to 90 mass%, respectively, of the sum total 100 mass% of resin (A) and resin (B), while the filler (C) accounts for 1 to 400 parts by mass of the sum total 100 parts by mass of resin (A) and resin (B), with the porosity being 1 to 80%. The present invention provides a polylactic acid based porous film that has high flexibility, moisture permeability, heat resistance, and bleed-out resistance.

An aromatic polyamide resin molding having a root-mean-square roughness of not less than 1.0 nm and a 10-point mean roughness of not more than 80 nm as measured on at least one surface thereof by interatomic force microscopy and a Young's modulus in tension of not less than 9.8 GPa. The molding is suitable as a film having excellent scraping resistance and evenness on the surface protrusions, particularly as a film for magnetic recording media.
