    摘要: A method and apparatus for data compression in a mobile communication network. A node performing data compression on a downlink towards a mobile terminal compresses data on the basis of an identity of a decompression node. A determination is made that the mobile terminal is no longer receiving data from the decompression node owing to mobility the mobile terminal. The identity of a further decompression node from which the mobile terminal receives data is determined, and data is compressed on the basis of an identity of the further decompression node. The node performing compression can therefore dynamically adapt to mobility of the terminal, potentially resulting in a shorter learning phase.
