摘要: The present disclosure provides a method in a User Equipment of transmitting a random access preamble and a physical uplink shared channel, comprising: determining a resource size to be used to contain the physical uplink shared channel, the resource size being one of a set of predetermined sizes; identifying a resource to be used from a predetermined set of resources, the resource in the set of resources corresponding to the determined resource size, each resource being identified with a respective first index n and occupying a distinct set of OFDM symbols and subcarriers; identifying a PRACH preamble with a second index n' corresponding to the first index n of the identified resource; and transmitting the identified PRACH preamble, and the physical uplink shared channel in the identified resource.

摘要: A wireless device detects a synchronization signal by obtaining (210), from a received signal, a sequence of samples, and calculating (220) a differentially decoded sequence from the obtained sequence of samples. The wireless device correlates (230) the calculated differentially decoded sequence with a first reference sequence corresponding to the synchronization signal, at each of a plurality of time offsets, and identifies which of the plurality of time offsets results in a largest correlation result. In response to determining (240) that the largest correlation result does not meet a predetermined reliability criterion, the wireless device correlates (250) the obtained sequence of samples with a second reference sequence, at each of a plurality of time and frequency offsets, and identifies which combination of time offset and frequency offset results in a largest correlation result. The first reference sequence comprises a differentially decoded version of the second reference sequence.

摘要: Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes receiving a downlink signal comprising an uplink access configuration index, using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among a predetermined plurality of uplink access configurations, and transmitting to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving, in a first downlink subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing, OFDM, transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology, where the first numerology has a first subcarrier spacing and the second numerology has a second subcarrier spacing, the first subcarrier spacing differing from the second subcarrier spacing. The example method further includes, in the same wireless device, receiving and processing first Layer 2 data on a first physical data channel and receiving and processing second Layer 2 data on a second physical data channel, wherein the receiving and processing of the first Layer 2 data comprises the use of soft HARQ combining and wherein the receiving and processing of the second Layer 2 data comprises no soft HARQ combining. Variants of this method, corresponding apparatuses, and corresponding network-side methods and apparatuses are also disclosed.

摘要: A fifth-generation wireless communications network includes a server node, radio network equipment and a wireless device. In an example method, a server node receives first user data in response to (i) the wireless device receiving from the radio network equipment information indicating a plurality of uplink access configurations, each uplink access configuration including a random access configuration; (ii) the wireless device receiving an uplink access configuration index; (iii) the wireless device using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among the indicated plurality of uplink access configurations, and (iv) the wireless device transmitting the first user data to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. In the example method, further, the server node initiates transmission of second and third user data. This causes the wireless device to (v) receive from the radio network equipment, in a first downlink subframe, a first OFDM transmission formatted according to a first numerology and carrying the second user data, and (vi) receive from the radio network equipment, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology and carrying the third user data, wherein the numerologies have different subcarrier spacings.

摘要: Methods performed by a wireless device, such as a user equipment, operating in a dormant mode comprise performing a measurement on each of a plurality of resources from a predetermined set of resources or demodulating and decoding information from each of a plurality of resources from a predetermined set of resources, such as a set of beams. The methods further include evaluating the measurement or the demodulated and decoded information for each of the plurality of resources against a predetermined criterion, and then discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements, or discontinuing the demodulating and decoding and evaluation of information, in response to determining that the predetermined criterion is met, such that one or more resources in the predetermined set of resources are neither measured nor demodulated and decoded. The methods further comprise deactivating receiver circuitry, further in response to determining that the predetermined criterion is met. The method further comprises receiving, in a first downlink subframe, a first Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing transmission formatted according to a first numerology and receiving, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology, the second numerology differing from the first numerology.
