A lignin derivative is presented which is produced from a lignin of the empirical formula L(OH) z , where L is a lignin without hydroxyl groups, OH are the L-bound free hydroxyl groups and z is 100% of the L-bound free hydroxyl groups, wherein the lignin derivative is characterized in that, in the lignin derivative, x ≥ 0.1% of the L-bound free hydroxyl groups are derivatized by divalent Rx radicals, which are linked to L via an ester, ether or urethane group, y > 0.1% of the L-bound free hydroxyl groups are derivatized by monovalent radicals R y which are linked to L via an ester, ether or urethane group, x + y = 100% and z = 0%. In addition, a shaped body comprising the lignin derivative is presented. The shaped body can be in the form of a fibre, e.g. as a precursor fibre for producing a carbon fibre. Finally, a carbon fibre is presented which is produced from the abovementioned precursor fibre.

The invention relates to a conductively furnished carbon fibre, consisting of carbon fibre filaments which have a metal coating, the carbon fibre filaments having a preparation which is located on the metal coating and is based on at least one polymeric binder, said preparation comprising conductive nanoparticles, the concentration of the metal coating being 8 to 25 wt% and the concentration of the carbon nanotubes being 0.1 to 1 wt%, based in each case on the weight of the carbon fibre provided with the metal coating and preparation. The invention further relates to a method for producing such fibres and also to a fibre-reinforced composite material, comprising carbon fibres consisting of carbon fibre filaments, the carbon fibre filaments being coated with a metal, and to a polymer-based matrix, the fibre volume fraction in the composite material being 45 to 70 volume % and the composite material further comprising conductive nanoparticles which are present at least partly in dispersion in the matrix.

The invention relates to a fusible lignin comprising a glass transition temperature as determined by dynamic differential calorimetry (DSC) in the range from 90 to 160 °C, a molar mass distribution as determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) having a dispersivity of less than 28, an ash content of less than 1 wt %, and a proportion of volatile components of no more than 1 wt %. The invention further relates to a precursor fiber based on the fusible lignin according to the invention, and to a method for producing same. The invention ultimately relates to a method for producing a carbon fiber from the precursor fiber according to the invention.

The invention relates to a yarn formed by reinforcing fibre filaments and a resin which is infiltrated therein and multi-meltable and which is brought in the solid state by cooling at an ambient temperature, wherein said fibre filaments are bound to each other at least in a parallel direction on the resin, the yarn contains 2.5 to 25 % by weight of the infiltrated resin with respect to the total weight thereof and the infiltrated resin consists of the mixture of at least two types of epoxy resin E1 and E2, wherein the E1 epoxide value ranges from 2000 to 2300 mmol/kg of resin, the E2 epoxide value ranges from 500 to 650 mmol/kg of resin and the weight ratio E1:E2 of the epoxy resins in the mixture is selected in such a way that the epoxide value of the infiltrated resin mixture ranges from 550 to 2100 mmol/kg of resin. A yarn-containing preform, a method for the production and the use thereof for producing a composite are also disclosed.
