Abstract: There are provided an electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery whose life properties can be improved and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including the electrode. An electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to one aspect of the present invention includes a collector, and an active material layer formed on a surface of the collector. The active material layer includes an active material containing SiOx particles having surfaces to which a carboxyl group-containing polymer is bonded, and a binder made of a carboxyl group-containing water-soluble polymer having a carbohydrate structure. The polymer and the binder are bonded to each other.
