The mode of operation of the element (3, 4, 5) can be modified by means of a controller (6) operationally connected to the sensor (2) in such a way that build-up vibrations occurring during operation of the vehicle can be minimised. Torsional vibrations of the car body are determined by the sensor (2) and controller (6). In addition, the mode of operation of the element (3, 4, 5) is controlled and regulated by the controller (6) in a variable manner, so that the latter can counteract the detected car body torsional vibrations.
