    摘要： The present invention provides fastener elements for use in a slide fastener in which, regardless of the quality of material, a metallic coating layer having an excellent adhesiveness and 0.001 to 1.0 µm in thickness is simply and easily formed on the surface of a fastener element member so that the surface thereof gives out the luster of metal. The surface of the metallic coating layer may further be formed at least thereon with a finishing coat layer. In the present invention, there is further provided a slide fastener having a light weight and flexibility in which such a fastener element member as being made synthetic resin having the luster of metal on the surface thereof.

    摘要： In a method of making an ornament, a metal ornament body (1) having an internal groove (7) opening at one end (7a) to an end edge of the metal ornament body (1) and at an opposite end (7b) to front and rear surfaces of the metal ornament body (1) is held between two relatively movable mold members (9, 10) while the one end (7a) of the internal groove (7) is connected to a gate (13) of the mold members (9, 10) and the oppo­site end (7b) of the internal groove (7b) communicates with mold cavities (11a, 11b) in the mold members (9, 10). Then, a melted synthetic resin material is in­jected into the mold cavities (11a, 11b) through the gate (13) and the internal groove (7). Since the gate mark is not formed on the outside surface of an orna­mental member (2) molded of synthetic resin but left on the end edge of the metal ornament body (1). The gate mark thus formed is normally hidden from view and does not deteriorate the aesthetical appearance of the ornament.
