The invention relates to a door catch which can be integrated in a motor vehicle door hinge and which can be structurally combined with a door hinge. Said door hinge is comprised of a first (1) hinge half which can abut against a door assembly part, door or door post, and of a second (2) hinge half which can abut against the other door assembly part. The door catch is also comprised of a radially projecting stop element (6) that is loaded by a torsion bar spring (5) which is formed out of a torsion spring bar and which is supported on one of both hinge halves (1, 2) in a rotationally fixed manner. The door catch is additionally provided with an abutment which has adjacent stop notches (12) and which is arranged on the other hinge half (2) in a fixed manner. The invention relates to a door brake pertaining to a motor vehicle, said brake having a holding function and comprising a closed sleeve component (2) made of metallic material. The sleeve part (2) can be fixed to one of the door assembly parts: door and door post. The door brake also comprises a shaft component (1) that engages with the sleeve component (2) and that consists of a solid metallic material. The shaft component (1) can be fixed to the other door assembly part. The cross-section of the shaft component (1) is provided with a curvature that deviates from the elemental circle form when the shaft component (1) is joined to a complementary embodiment of the shape of the cross-section of the borehole pertaining to the sleeve component (2), whereby the curvature extends over at least a part of the length of the shaft component (1), the length matching the height of the sleeve. The aim of the invention is to create a motor vehicle door brake that is provided with a defined break power at a predetermined door opening angle and that can be produced in a simple manner. The aim of the invention is also to provide structural parts of said door brake, whereby said structural parts have a stress distribution which is as favourable as possible during braking due to elastic changes in the form. To this end, the shape of the cross-section belonging to the shaft component (1) and the sleeve component (2) is convex over the entire circumference thereof. The maximum extension of the shape of the cross-section belonging to the shaft component (1) exceeds the minimal extension of the shape of the cross-section belonging to the sleeve component (2). The braking effect is obtained by an elastic change in the form of the shaft component (1) and the sleeve component (2).

The invention relates to a method for producing articulated joints by assembling prefabricated parts, which comprise a pin defining an axis on which at least one articulated part having a bearing hole is to be pivotally mounted by means of a bearing bush. The parts are randomly delivered and, if required, automatically processed in a machine to assemble the joints. Cost-effective production of articulated joints with freely adjustable torques using automatic can be achieved machines by carrying out the following steps: determining the actual dimensions of the bearing holes, the pin and at least one of the two bearing bushes; comparing the determined actual dimensions and the values derived therefrom, especially the ratios, with the threshold values that can be fixed in order to obtain the desired result and inputting control commands into the automatically working machine with the purpose of processing at least one of the parts before assembling the latter.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door brake which has an opening end stop and which is integrated in a hinge. The hinge is comprised of two hinge halves which are interconnected in a jointed manner by means of a hinge pin (3). Said hinge halves can alternately engage with one of both door assembly parts, the door, or the door pillar. The hinge pin is connected to the first hinge half (1) in a rotationally fixed manner and is accommodated in the hinge eye (23) of the first hinge half in a rotational manner. In addition, the door brake comprises at least one engaging part (8) which is supported against one of the hinge halves, and has at least one braking or stopping part. Said braking or stopping part is assigned to the engaging part and is supported against the other hinge half. The aim of the invention is to produce a door brake having a reduced number of individual parts and to obtain a smallest possible construction in which the application of high brake forces rise in an increasing manner over the door opening angle. To this end, the door brake is collectively comprised of at least one engaging part (8) and of at least one braking surface (10, 11). Said engaging part is radially aligned in relation to the hinge axis (3), is connected to one of the hinge halves in a rotationally fixed manner, and can be elastically deformed in a plane which is parallel to the hinge axis (3). Said braking surface is configured on the hinge pin and is limited by an end stop (9). The at least one braking surface (10, 11) which is configured on the hinge pin (3) and which interacts with the engaging part slopes upward in the direction of the hinge axis.

This is achieved by connecting the screw bolt (10) to the first wing of the hinge (1) so that it cannot rotate and by assigning an internal screw thread (16) to the screw bolt (10), whereby said screw thread is connected to the other wing of the hinge (2) in a way that it too cannot rotate.
