    摘要： In-line valve-gated nozzles (22) for a single or multiple cavity applications wherein a valve-gated hot runner nozzle (22) has a melt channel (36) uniformly heated along the entire path. The valve pin (53) is driven by an actuation device (52) that is located adjacent to the nozzle to regulate the flow of melt. The actuation device has a linear motion and applies a uniform axial pressure on to the valve pin (53). This valve-gated nozzle can be linked directly to a machine nozzle, to an injection manifold or to a stack mold.

    摘要： An edge-gated injection molding apparatus (100) is disclosed having an injection manifold assembly (102) for distributing a melt stream of moldable material to a plurality of mold cavities (104) aligned on opposing sides of the injection manifold assembly. The injection manifold assembly includes a plurality of melt outlets with each melt outlet being in fluid communication with a respective mold cavity, and a plurality of biasing components (224, 1024) disposed along a centerline of the injection manifold assembly. A nozzle seal (244) is disposed between each injection manifold assembly (102) melt outlet and its corresponding mold cavity. Each biasing component (224, 1024) is disposed between a pair of melt outlets and corresponding nozzle seals (244) for biasing the melt outlets and nozzle seals (244) outward from the centerline of the injection manifold assembly (102) toward their respective mold cavities (104) and applying a preload thereto.
