Abstract:
Provided is a control method of a coating device that can perform coating of coating targets well. The control method of a coating device includes a coating tank (25) which includes a drum (28A) having a cylindrical shape and rotatable, and a disk (38A) having a dish shape and disposed to close a lower end of the drum (28A) and rotatable coaxially with the drum (28A). The method executes a first rotation process of setting a posture of the coating tank (25) in a standing posture in which a rotation axis of the coating tank (25) is directed in a vertical direction, rotating the drum (28A) in one direction, and rotating the disk (38A) in the other direction, and a second rotation process of setting a posture of the coating tank (25) in an inclined posture in which the rotation axis is inclined with respect to the vertical direction and rotating the drum (28A) and the disk (38A) in the one direction.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for continuously coating individual pieces of confectionary product, the system including a product feed device, at least one drum coating arrangement configured to continuously receive the individual pieces of confectionary product from the product feed device, the drum coating arrangement including a first rotating drum rotatable about a first drum axis and a second rotating drum rotatable about a second drum axis, a first drum volume defined by the first rotating drum, and a second drum volume defined by the second rotating drum, the first drum volume being communicable with the second drum volume, wherein the drum coating arrangement is configured such that the confectionary product has a longer residence time in the second drum volume than the first drum volume.
Abstract:
A continuous dosage form coating apparatus uses vibrational impulses to maintain a dosage forms in a fluid state to expose them to a coating material atomized by spraying.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for dry coating solid dosage forms. The method includes the steps of placing solid dosage forms in a rotatable, electrically grounded housing, and spraying a film forming polymer powder composition into the housing during rotation thereof to form a polymer coating on the solid dosage forms, the polymer powder composition being sprayed using an electrostatic spray gun, and curing the coated solid dosage forms.
Abstract:
A sugar coating is formed on a multiplicity of items (5) such as confectionery, using a suspension of crystal nuclei in a solution of sugar. This suspension is created by ultrasonic irradiation of a supersaturated solution. For example a saturated solution is cooled, and stored in a tank (16) connected to a recirculation (10) loop (18) containing a pump (24) and an ultrasonic irradiation module (26). Treated suspension (20) is withdrawn to coat items (11), and new supersaturated solution (14) is introduced. The sugar solution is sufficiently viscous to suppress crystal growth.
Abstract:
A method of making coated chewing gum products comprises the steps of providing chewing gum cores; providing a first coating syrup comprising a bulk sweetener; providing an aldehyde flavor; providing a second coating syrup separate from the first coating syrup and comprising a dipeptide sweetener; and applying the first and second coating syrups to the cores and drying the syrups to produce a coating on the cores. Calcium carbonate or another antacid may be incorporated in the coating by being mixed into the first coating syrup or applied as a dry charge.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a coating device (100) for coating, for example, lens- or grain-shaped base bodies. Said coating device comprises a drum (110), mounted so as to pivot about a horizontal axis, for receiving the base bodies during a charging process, a charging device for filling the base bodies into the drum (110), a closable opening of the drum (110) for receiving the uncoated base bodies in the drum (110) and for discharging the finished coated base bodies from the drum (110) and a spray device for coating the base bodies disposed inside the drum (110). The invention is characterized in that downstream from the drum a discharge device (130) for discharging the finished coated base bodies is provided which makes it possible to operate the operational sections of discharge and cleaning of the device in parallel. Between said discharge device and the drum (110), a screen (140) is disposed and can be reciprocated, said screen being displaceable from a first position in which it screens off the discharge device to a second position in which it releases the discharge device and back.
