Abstract:
A cleaning implement comprises a handle (1), a plate frame (2) connected to the handle, and a mop (3) that is detachably attached to the plate frame. At least one pair of holding members, consisting of a permanent magnet and a counterpart cooperating therewith, has been arranged for holding of the mop (3) onto the plate frame (2). The magnet and the counterpart have been attached to the plate frame (2) and to the mop (3), respectively, so that they face each other in the operating position of the mop. The counterpart may consist of a permanent magnet or a ferromagnetic substance and it has been anchored, for example, by sewing inside the mop (3) under a fabric that forms the upper surface of the mop. The specification also relates to the mop (3) per se, which is provided with at least one magnetic holding member arranged in the vicinity of the upper surface of the mop and, in the operating position of the mop, cooperating with the magnetic fastening part which is in a corresponding position on the plate frame.
Abstract:
A cleaning device for use with a cleaning fabric is provided. The device includes a plate, a connection member, a plurality of fingers, a wiper assembly, and a grip. The plate has a first side and a second side. The connection member retains the cleaning fabric to the plate. The fingers depend from the first side and provide a gap between the first side and the cleaning fabric during use. The wiper assembly has at least one elongated wiper blade that divides the fingers into a front section and a rear section. The grip depends from the second side.
Abstract:
Portable stain removal kit (1) for locally removing a stained area on a fabric comprising a container (4) for containing a stain removing material (5) in a solid form, the container (4) being intended to be in direct contact with the stained area when the portable stain removal kit (1) is in use, whereby said portable stain removal kit (1) also comprises a base holder (3) for holding the container (4), and a cover (2) cooperating with the base holder (3) for enclosing the container (4) when the portable stain removal kit (1) is not in use.

Abstract:
Cleaning textile, which has a cleaning side (1) comprising a cleaning surface (2) which is delimited by an edge (3) on the outer periphery, wherein the cleaning surface (2) comprises three cleaning zones (4, 5, 6) which are functionally arranged in series in the mopping direction (7) of the cleaning textile. The first cleaning zone (4) which is front in the mopping direction (7) comprises a first cleaning gauze (8) that has a first gauze height (9) and a first gauze thickness (10), the central second cleaning zone (5) comprises a second cleaning gauze (11) that has a second gauze height (12) and a second gauze thickness (13) and the rear third cleaning zone (6) comprises a third cleaning gauze (14) which has a third gauze height (15) and a third gauze thickness (16). The second cleaning zone (5) which is central in the cleaning direction has a relatively larger second gauze height (12) and a respectively smaller second gauze thickness (13) with respect to the first cleaning zone (4) which is front in the mopping direction (7) and the third cleaning zone (6) which is rear in the mopping direction, and each cleaning zone (4, 5, 6) has a smaller gauze thickness (10, 13, 16) in the centre than at the edge, viewed transversely with respect to the mopping direction (7).
Abstract:
A holder suitable for use with a variety of sponges is presented. The suction-enabled sponge holder (11) includes a suction cup (12), a protrusion (13), and a spike (14). The protrusion (13) and the spike (14) extend from the suction cup (12). The protrusion (13) slidably engages a permanent cavity (17) at a front surface (21) of a sponge (16) when the sponge (16) is either pushed onto or pulled away from the sponge holder (11). The spike (14) penetrates the front surface (21) of the sponge (16) to form a temporary cavity (18) adjacent to the permanent cavity (17) when the sponge (16) is pushed onto the sponge holder (11). The temporary cavity (18) closes when the sponge (16) is pulled away from the sponge holder (11). The temporary cavity (18) is characterized by localized damage to the sponge (16) caused by the spike (14). A localized compressive force (20) is applied by the sponge (16) onto said spike (14) within the temporary cavity (18). The compressive force (20) closes at least a portion of the temporary cavity (18) when the spike (14) is withdrawn from the temporary cavity (18).
Abstract:
A cleaning device 10 suitable, in use, for picking up pet hair and particles, the cleaning device 10 comprising a unitary, elastomeric main body 12 that includes a face 14 that has an integrally formed wiper blade 24 and an integrally formed channel 26 adjacent the wiper blade 24. The main body portion 12 is manufactured from a closed-cell elastomer foam. In use, the cleaning device's face 14 can be inverted and moved across a surface to be cleaned. By so doing, the wiper blade 24 lifts hairs and/or other dirt particles off the surface, and the hairs and/or dirt particles are retained and/or accumulated in the channel 26 adjacent the wiper blade 24.
Abstract:
Household tissue paper is obtained by applying a ply process to two or more sheets of base paper. First embossments and second embossments, arranged around the first embossments, are formed on an entire surface of the household tissue paper, a shape of a protruding part of each of the second embossments differing from a shape of a protruding part of each of the first embossments. Hence, because a contact area with an object to be cleaned or the like can be increased, it is possible to enhance surface strength of the household tissue paper being embossed and to enhance wiping performance.
Abstract:
There is provided a manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a cleaning web member by intermittently cutting a continuous web member at a product pitch in a transport direction, the continuous web member having a base sheet continuous in the transport direction and a fiber bundle placed on and secured to the base sheet with a direction of fibers being along the transport direction. The manufacturing apparatus includes: an intermittent transport mechanism that intermittently transports the continuous web member in the transport direction; a cutter mechanism that is disposed downstream from the intermittent transport mechanism in the transport direction, and that produce a downstream end portion of the continuous web member as the cleaning web member by cutting and separating the downstream end portion from the continuous web member while transport of the continuous web member is suspended; a sensor that measures a displacement amount of a stop position of a predetermined region of the continuous web member from a target stop position, while transport of the continuous web member is suspended, the measurement being performed at a measurement position which is a position upstream from the intermittent transport mechanism in the transport direction; and a control section that controls a transport amount related to the intermittent transport by the intermittent transport mechanism based on information of the displacement amount output from the sensor.
