摘要:
Spine stabilization systems are disclosed. One spine stabilization system includes a bone screw assembly including a coupling member and a screw member received therein. The coupling member includes a pair of extension elements that form a pair of slots. The slots include bottom angled surfaces. An angled wedge member having a substantially horizontal bottom surface and an angled top surface is delivered on top of the screw member within the coupling member. A rod member can be delivered down the coupling member such that it rests on the slots and on top of the angled wedge member. A locking assembly comprising a cap member and set screw can be delivered down the coupling member to secure the rod member to the coupling member. The rod member and locking assembly components can be delivered through a single incision and at a same or similar angle as the screw member during surgery.

A spine alignment system is disclosed. The spine alignment system includes a pedicle screw having a longitudinal axis, the pedicle screw having a screw head. The screw head includes a slot having a longitudinal axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pedicle screw. An extension shaft is secured to the pedicle screw, such that a longitudinal axis of the extension shaft is substantially coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the pedicle screw. The spine alignment system also includes a cap having a slot that forms a substantially cylindrical passage with the slot of the pedicle screw head. The substantially cylindrical passage is configured to receive an alignment rod such that alignment of the spine occurs as the rod is translated along the extension shaft to the pedicle screw.

A crosslink is provided for securing orthopedic implants, such as facet joint replacement implants, together. The crosslink has a pair of implant coupling components, a pair of rod coupling components, a rod, and a pair of fasteners. Each facet joint implant may include a semicylindrical interface received in a resilient member of the corresponding implant coupling component to permit relative cephalad/caudal adjustment between the crosslink and the implants. The resilient members grip the semicylindrical interface of the implant to enable at least temporary attachment of the implant coupling components to the implants independently of the rod. Clocking features on the semicylindrical interfaces and on the interfacing areas of the implant coupling components and rod coupling components may limit assembly of the crosslink to discrete relative orientations and prevent play after assembly. The fasteners secure the rod coupling components to the rod at the desired positions along the rod.

A bone anchor assembly, comprising: a bone anchor having a proximal head and a distal bone engaging portion; and a receiving member having a proximal end having a first bore, a distal end opposite the proximal end and having a second bore, and a recess for receiving a spinal fixation element in communication with the first bore, the second bore being sized to receive the head of the bone anchor, the receiving member having a substantially U-shaped cross-section defined by two legs separated by the recess, each leg being free at the proximal end of the receiving member, wherein a first groove is formed on an exterior surface of the proximal end of a first one of the legs and a second groove is formed on an exterior surface of the proximal end of a second one of the legs, the first groove having a proximal surface and a distal surface opposite the proximal surface and the second groove having a proximal surface and a distal surface opposite the proximal surface, the proximal surface of the first groove and the proximal surface of the second groove each being oriented at an angle between approximately 5 degrees and approximately 30 degrees relative to a line that is oriented perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the receiving member, wherein the proximal surface of the first groove and the distal surface of the first groove, and the proximal surface of the second groove and the distal surface of the second groove, are each angled in the direction of the distal end of the receiving member.
