摘要: A reverse shoulder joint prosthesis (1) for location between a humerus and a scapula comprised a ball (5) to be fixed to the scapula and a humeral stem 6 to be fixed to the humerus. The prosthesis comprises a first cup (2), a second cup (3) and a plate (4) retained between said cups. The first cup is free to move about the ball. The plate has a trunion (16) adapted to connect to the humeral stem through an aperture in the second cup. The plate is free to move between the cups. The prosthesis has a first phase of movement in which the plate moves between the cups and a distinct second phase of movement in which the first cup moves on the ball. The shoulder joint prosthesis provides an extended range of movement through the provision of two motion phases while minimising wear, scapula infringement and instability.

摘要: A glenoid guide has an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein the lower surface is a patient-specific surface configured as a negative surface of a glenoid face based on a three-dimensional image of a shoulder joint of a patient reconstructed preoperatively from image scans of the shoulder joint of the patient. The glenoid guide includes an anatomic tubular drill guide extending from the upper surface along an anatomic alignment axis configured preoperatively with a patient-specific orientation and insertion location for guiding a glenoid implant into the glenoid face for anatomic shoulder arthroplasty. The glenoid guide includes a reverse tubular drill guide extending from the upper surface along a reverse alignment axis configured preoperatively with a patient-specific orientation and insertion location for guiding a glenoid baseplate into the glenoid face for reverse shoulder arthroplasty.

摘要: An endoprosthetic device for replacement of a diseased or damaged scapular glenoid fossa. The device includes a glenosphere or a glenosocket member, or provides the option of mating a glenosphere or glenosocket member via a Morse taper. The device also features opposing fixation plates that grip resected scapular area anteroposteriorly to fixate the device through use of a plurality of setscrews. An Oblique setscrew that engages the scapular body inferiorly may be added for improved fixation. A porous mesh surface treatment on the inner faces of the fixation plates may be utilized to improve osteoconductivity.
