摘要: A method of determining contact status of electrodes includes applying drive signals between pairs of electrodes, measuring a bipolar electrode complex impedance (BECI) value generated in response to the drive signals over a collection period, and determining a baseline BECI value representing a minimum value measured during the collection period. The method further includes determining contact status of the electrode by applying drive signals between pairs of electrodes over a given interval, measuring a BECI value generated in response to the drive signals, measuring a peak-to-peak value associated with the BECI values measured over the given interval, and determining contact status based on a combination of the baseline BECI value, the measured BECI value, and the peak-to-peak value associated with the measured BECI values.

摘要: A system for computing an electro-anatomical (EA) map of signals from tissue inside a chamber of a patient's includes a processor and a display. The processor receives electro-physiological (EP) signals from a plurality of electrodes on a distal end assembly of a catheter placed in the chamber, selects a contiguous sub-group of the plurality of electrodes and applies a consistency test to the EP signals acquired by the contiguous sub-group to determine if the EP signals from the sub-group of the electrodes display a common cycle length. When the consistency test is successful, the processor identifies a region in the chamber from which the EP signals have been acquired. The display renders an electro-anatomical (EA) map of the chamber and provides indicating on the rendered display of the region.

摘要: Medical apparatus includes a probe with a basket assembly at its distal end, including a plurality of resilient spines with multiple electrodes arrayed along a length of each of the spines. Processing circuitry is configured to acquire a first bipolar electrical signal from the tissue between first and second electrodes at first and second locations along a first spine of the basket assembly, and to acquire a second bipolar electrical signal from the tissue between the first electrode and a third electrode in a third location on a second spine of the basket assembly, and to interpolate, based on the first and second bipolar electrical signals, a vectorial electrical property of the tissue along an axis that passes through the first location and between the second and third locations.
