Digital radiography system and device for an X-ray system are provided. The digital radiography system includes: an X-ray detector that receives X-rays radiated from a generator of an X-ray system and that forms an X-ray image; a camera that captures an image of one side surface of a controller outputting a ready signal and a shot signal to control operation of the generator; and a monitoring device that analyzes image information transmitted from the camera to recognize a control signal output from the controller to the generator and that provides information on the control signal to the X-ray detector. By acquiring a control signal of the generator using an external image of the controller using the camera, it is not necessary to connect a cable for allowing the monitoring device and the X-ray detector to directly receive the control signal from the controller and thus to improve convenience of installation.

Methods and apparatus for providing an overlay image of an implant during a surgical procedure using a mobile computing device are provided herein. The implant may include radio-opaque internal markers adjacent to and defining edges of the implant. The method may include: capturing an image of a imaging display device screen; estimating a pose of the implant based on the relationship between the 2-D positions of the radio-opaque internal markers and the 3-D positions of the radio-opaque internal markers; retrieving or generating a 3-D model image of the implant at the determined pose using the 3-D implant data; and overlaying the 3-D model image onto the image of the implant. The captured image may include the implant and at least two of the radio-opaque internal markers being visible as fiducial markers within the image. The fiducial markers may be 2-D positions of the radio-opaque internal markers in a 2-D plane.

The generation unit captures radiographic images based on beams of radiation that have been transmitted through an imaging target site and with which an imaging surface has been individually irradiated and generates sets of image information representing the captured radiographic images. The moving unit moves the radiation source such that irradiation with the beams of radiation is possible from different directions including a front direction.
