摘要: An implantable blood filter system is provided. The system includes an anchor fixedly implantable in a blood vessel of a patient, a filter fixedly attached to the anchor; and an external ultrasound measurement device. The filter includes a plurality of gaps of which size is selected such that blood cells can pass through the gaps, but an embolus in contact with the filter cannot pass through the gaps. The external ultrasound measurement device is configured to detect whether the embolus has been captured by the filter.

摘要: Systems and methods for removal of thrombus from a blood vessel in a body of a patient are disclosed herein. The method can include: providing a thrombus extraction device including a proximal self-expanding member formed of a fenestrated structure, a substantially cylindrical portion formed of a net-like filament mesh structure having a proximal end coupled to a distal end of the fenestrated structure; advancing a catheter constraining the thrombus extraction device through a vascular thrombus, deploying the thrombus extraction device by stacking a portion of the net-like filament mesh structure outside of the catheter by distally advancing the self-expanding member until the self-expanding member is beyond a distal end of the catheter; retracting the self-expanding member to unstack the portion of the net-like filament mesh structure and to capture the portion of the thrombus; and withdrawing the thrombus extraction device from the body.

摘要: A hydrodynamic catheter includes a catheter body with a catheter lumen and an infusion tube extending within the catheter body, the infusion tube configured for coupling with a fluid source near the catheter proximal portion. An inflow orifice and an outflow orifice are positioned at locations along a catheter body perimeter. A fluid jet emanator is in fluid communication with the infusion tube, where the fluid jet emanator includes one or more jet orifices configured to direct one or more fluid jets through the catheter lumen from near the inflow orifice toward the outflow orifice. A pivot cylinder located along the catheter body perimeter is positioned distal relative to one or more of the fluid jet emanator, the inflow orifice, or the outflow orifice.

摘要: A thrombectomy system is disclosed. The thrombectomy system comprises a delivery catheter; an aspiration catheter; a self-expandable segment defining a distal end and a proximal end and configured to adapt its shape to the blood vessel from a retracted position in a compressed state when inside the delivery catheter to an expanded position, once coming out of the delivery catheter, to be appositioned against an inner wall of the blood vessel to receive and retain a thrombus; a clot-capture element configured to capture the thrombus and to be at least partially withdrawn with the captured thrombus into the self-expandable segment; and a microcatheter adapted to carry the clot-capture element to the thrombus. The self-expandable segment comprises a non-permeable covering. The clot-capture element is movably disposed within the microcatheter in a retracted position. The microcatheter is movably disposed within the aspiration catheter.
