摘要:
A cataract surgical system includes a laser source to generate a first set of laser pulses; a guiding optic to guide the first set of laser pulses to a cataract target region in an eye; a laser controller to generate an electronic representation of a target scan pattern, and to control the guiding optic to scan the first set of laser pulses according to a portion of the target scan pattern to create a first photo-disrupted region in the cataract target region; and a Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomographic (SS-OCT) imaging system to generate an image of a portion of the first photo-disrupted region. The laser controller can generate an electronic representation of a modified scan pattern in relation to the image generated by the SS-OCT imaging system, and control the guiding optic to scan a second set of laser pulses according the modified scan pattern.

A system for corneal treatment includes a light source that activates cross-linking in at least one selected region of a cornea treated with a cross-linking agent. The light source delivers photoactivating light to the at least one selected region of the cornea according to a set of parameters. The system includes a controller that receives input relating to the cross-linking agent and the set of parameters. The controller includes computer-readable storage media storing: (A) program instructions for determining cross-linking resulting from reactions involving ROS including at least peroxides, superoxides, and hydroxyl radicals, and (B) program instructions for determining cross-linking from reactions not involving oxygen. The controller executes the program instructions to output a calculated amount of cross-linking in the at least one selected region of the cornea. In response to the calculated amount of cross-linking, the light source adjusts at least one value in the set of parameters.

An epiretinal membrane (ERM) visualization system includes an OCT system operable to generate an OCT image of a region of a patient's eye, the region of the patient's eye including an ERM. The ERM visualization system further includes an image processing unit operable to process the OCT image to identify the ERM by differentiating the ERM from other structures within the region of the patient's eye and generate an ERM map depicting one or more characteristics (including at least a location of a portion of the ERM within the region of the patient's eye) of the identified ERM. The ERM visualization system further includes a display operable to display the ERM map.

An OCT system for imaging multiple depth positions includes a light source, a sample arm and two or more reference arms. The sample arm propagates light to the object and directs object return light having a first return light beam from a first position and a second return light beam from a second position, the second return light having a dispersion level higher than the first return light beam by a dispersion difference amount. The first and second reference arms produce light beams having substantially the same dispersion as the first and second return light beams, respectively. The optical pathway combines all of the object return light and the reference light beams. An OCT detector measures the resulting interferogram. Imaging information is obtained for both the first position and the second position based on the dispersion difference amount.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for treating tissue abnormalities are disclosed. The tissue may be visualized for determining a presence of one or more abnormalities contained therein. Imaging data obtained by visualization may be used to determine the presence of one or more abnormalities. Each of the detected abnormalities may be identified and a treatment plan developed for treating the abnormalities. Treatment may be delivered to the abnormalities according to the treatment plan.

The present technology relates to an image processing device, a method of image processing, and a surgical microscope that can detect and report a dangerous condition on the basis of a tomographic image during eye surgery. An image processing device includes: a dangerous condition detection unit configured to detect a dangerous condition on the basis of a tomographic image of an eye acquired during surgery of the eye; and a control information generation unit configured to generate and output control information used to manage the detected dangerous condition. The present technology is applicable to, for example, a surgical system used for eye surgery or other surgical procedures.

An ophthalmic laser treatment device includes an irradiation unit that irradiates a patient's eye with laser treatment light and a control unit that controls the irradiation unit. The control unit acquires a motion contrast acquired by an OCT unit that detects an OCT signal of measurement light reflected from the patients eye and reference light corresponding to the measurement light, acquires irradiation target information based on the motion contrast, and controls the irradiation unit so as to irradiate the patient's eye with the laser light, based on the irradiation target information.

A system and method for treating ophthalmic target tissue, including a light source for generating a beam of light, a beam delivery system that includes a scanner for generating patterns, and a controller for controlling the light source and delivery system to create a dosimetry pattern of the light beam on the ophthalmic target tissue. One or more dosage parameters of the light beam vary within the dosimetry pattern, to create varying exposures on the target tissue. A visualization device observes lesions formed on the ophthalmic target tissue by the dosimetry pattern. The controller selects dosage parameters for the treatment beam based upon the lesions resulting from the dosimetry pattern, either automatically or in response to user input, so that a desired clinical effect is achieved by selecting the character of the lesions as determined by the dosimetry pattern lesions.
