摘要: Provided is a membrane separation method to which a reverse osmosis method can be applied as a method for separating or concentrating a to-be-treated liquid having a high osmotic pressure or as a water recovery method. The membrane separation method for a to-be-treated liquid having an osmotic pressure according to the present invention includes a first step of separating the to-be-treated liquid into a first permeate and a first retentate by a reverse osmosis method using a loose RO membrane (50). The to-be-treated liquid satisfies πCb' > ΔPmax when an osmotic pressure of a to-be-treated liquid side membrane surface concentration Cb' is represented by πCb' and a maximum operating pressure difference is represented by ΔPmax, or has an osmotic pressure of 5 MPa or more and 100 MPa or less. The loose RO membrane (50) is a membrane through which at least a part of a solute contained in the to-be-treated liquid passes together with a solvent.

摘要: A method for manipulating ion concentration to maximize ion exchange media performance is disclosed herein. First a source liquid is directed through an ion concentrator such as a nanofilter, reverse osmosis membrane, or an evaporator/crystallizer. The ion concentrator separates the source liquid into a concentrate stream and a permeate stream wherein the permeate stream comprises a smaller concentration of ions than the concentrate stream. The concentrate stream and/or the permeate stream (input stream) may then be directed through an ion exchange vessel. The ion exchange vessel receives the input stream, enables ion exchange between the ion exchange media in the vessel and the input stream resulting in a liquid output having a smaller concentration of ions than the input stream.

Each membrane operating cycle comprises a filtration cycle and a relaxation cycle. Concentration polarisation is controlled during the process by controlling duration of filtration cycles and relaxation cycles to relatively short duration to maintain the degree of concentration polarisation below a target.

摘要: L'invention concerne un procédé de fractionnement des fractions solubles de pois, comprenant la succession d'une étape de microfiltration ou de centrifugation, suivie d'une étape d'ultrafiltration, et d'une éventuelle étape d'osmose inverse. On parvient ainsi à réduire la fuite de protéines vers les fractions solubles, à améliorer le rendement de l'étape unitaire de concentration par évaporation des fractions solubles, et on réussit à isoler de manière sélective les protéines d'intérêt. Il s'agit en outre d'un procédé simple à mettre en oeuvre, les dispositifs utilisés au niveau de chaque étape unitaire étant classiques et bien connus de l'homme du métier. Qui plus est, le procédé objet de la présente invention est exempt de tout solvant organique autre que l'eau.
