Provided is an exhaust gas purification equipment for a diesel engine not only capable of highly-efficient elimination of PM, in particular, SOF components or sulfate components, in exhaust gas of a diesel engine using a low-grade fuel equal to or less than fuel oil, but also capable of easy and reliable suppression of emission of environmental pollutants or ecosystem-affecting substances. The exhaust gas purification equipment for a diesel engine using a low-grade fuel equal or less than fuel oil is configured such that an exhaust gas cooler is disposed in an exhaust pipe which communicates with an exhaust manifold of the engine, an electrical precipitation means for eliminating PM mainly including SOF and ISF contained in the exhaust gas is disposed downstream from the exhaust gas cooler, and a branching portion for causing part of the exhaust gas as EGR gas is disposed in the exhaust pipe downstream from the electrical precipitation means, so that the EGR gas is recirculated to intake air of the engine via an EGR pipe which communicates with the branching portion and an EGR valve.

A self-cleaning metal hydride heat recovery system comprising a thermally insulated housing partitioned into at least two thermally insulated chambers, each chamber enclosing a metal hydride reactor assembly containing a regenerating, high-temperature metal hydride alloy, an ambient air inlet adapted to receive an ambient air stream into the housing to be fed to at least one of the two thermally insulated chambers, a fluid recirculation circuit configured to recirculate an exhaust stream as received from an exhaust source, the fluid recirculation circuit comprises a mixer adapted to mix a portion of a recirculation stream and the exhaust stream to provide a resultant stream, fluid stream switching means coupled to the mixer and adapted to switch flow of the resultant stream and the ambient air stream in a cyclic manner, flow regulating means provided downstream of the metal hydride reactor assemblies, and an exhaust outlet.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Schadstoffreduktion bei einem Verbrennungsmotor, insbesondere Dieselmotor, bei dem mittels mindestens eines Zylinders 1 des Verbrennungsmotors mit mindestens einem ersten 5 und einem zweiten 7 Auslassventil erzeugte Abgase in Abhängigkeit einer vorgegebenen Bedingung ausschließlich mittels des ersten Auslassventils 5 über einen dem ersten Auslassventil zugeordneten ersten Abgaskanal 11, der zumindest teilweise eine thermisch isolierende Schicht 17 vor dem mit zugeordnetem Abgasturbolader 13 aufweist, einem Abgasnachbehandlungssystem 9 zugeführt werden, und wobei die thermisch isolierende Schicht derart gewählt wird, dass mittels der Abgase ein gegenüber einem mittels eines dem zweiten Auslassventil 7 zugeordneten zweiten Abgaskanals 19 mit zugeordnetem Abgasturbolader 21 zu übertragender Wärmeeintrag erhöhter Wärmeeintrag in das Abgasnachbehandlungssystem erfolgt, wobei die Steuerung der beiden Auslassventile 5,7 in der Aufwärmphase von der aktuellen Kühlmitteltemperatur abhängt.

A decrease in cost is devised at an exhaust treatment device that purifies exhaust from an internal engine by a catalyst that is heated from a catalyst support that generates heat by being energized, and that returns some of exhaust that has been purified to the internal combustion engine. A cooling member is provided at a portion of an exhaust pipe that is between an engine and an upstream catalytic converter, and a circulation pipe is branched-off from between the upstream catalytic converter and a vibration cut-off member that is at a downstream side.

Provided is an exhaust gas purification equipment for a marine diesel engine allowing, particularly in exhaust gas treatment of a marine diesel engine using fuel equivalent to or lower than fuel oil in quality, discharge of treated waste water of treated discharge water to the ocean even during sailing in and outside special areas. In the exhaust gas purification equipment for the marine diesel engine using fuel equivalent to or lower than fuel oil in quality, a gas cooler is provided to an exhaust gas route or EGR gas route, an electrostatic cyclone exhaust gas purification equipment is provided on a downstream side of the gas cooler, and a PM-free scrubber that hardly dissolves or removes PM is provided downstream from the electrical precipitation means.

To provide an exhaust purifying system and a method for controlling the exhaust purifying system that avoid occurrence of clogging, breakage, or the like of a reducing agent injection valve caused by the solidification of a reducing agent and prevent reduction in the efficiency of reducing agent recovery processing and exhaust gas purification. An exhaust purifying system and a method for controlling the exhaust purifying system according to an aspect of the present invention is configured to detect the injection valve temperature of the reducing agent injection valve according to detection of turn-off of an ignition switch for stopping the internal combustion engine or detection of an injection stop of the reducing agent injection valve, whichever is earlier, calculate the waiting time until reducing agent recovery processing starts based on the injection valve temperature, and permits the reducing agent recovery processing under condition of the detection of turn-off of the ignition switch and an elapse of the waiting time.
