摘要: A cover for paint spray area grates, the grate cover being arranged for shielding the grate blades and grate cross members from paint particles entrained in air drawn down through the grate and for facilitating installation of the cover on the grate without substantially inhibiting air flow down through the grate. The cover comprises a lightweight plastic one piece member having (1) a top wall comprising perimeter portions integral with plural length and width cross portions bounding a plurality of openings substantially coextensive with corresponding openings in the grate to be covered, and (2) skirts depending into the openings from the perimeter portions, length cross portions and width cross portions. Parts of the skirts adjacent said top wall are positioned close to the top of the grate blades and grate cross members. A pair of the skirts flank each grate blade and cross member. Each pair of flanking skirts is downwardly divergent so the space between the bottom edges of such pair of skirts is wider than the space between the top edges of the skirts. The skirts bounding each opening define a steep funnel shape such that the opening has a somewhat larger area at the top than at the bottom thereof. The skirts in each opening are connected at the corners thereof such that the skirts form a continuous perimeter wall for such opening.

摘要: In a system and method for forming a metal oxide coating on glassware, heated glassware is provided in a coating zone, preferably by a grounded conveyor. An electrostatic charging and depositing field is established to a surface of the glassware in the coating zone, and a flow of metallic vapor is generated and introduced into the electrostatic charging and depositing field. The metallic vapor is electrostatically deposited on the surface of the heated glassware, and reacts with oxygen at the surface of the heated glassware to form a metal oxide coating on the surface of the glassware. The system and method can be used in either cold end coating or hot end coating, and can provide a dual cold end coating with an initial metal oxide cold end coating and a subsequent conventional cold end coating, providing improved surface lubricity at reduced costs.

摘要: A method and apparatus for surface treatment of footwear, bags, gloves, other leather items or leather-like items. The method includes optional covering a surface or a part of the items which are not to be treated; optional selecting time of operation of a spraying unit; placing items to be treated in a chamber; shutting the chamber and thereby manually or automatically initiating; activating the spraying unit for forming a mist of impregnating agent inside the chamber for applying impregnating agent onto the surfaces of the items; activating an air pump, ventilator or corresponding means for removal of excess impregnating agent from the chamber; and retaining excess impregnating agent in a filter which preferably is a filter containing activated carbon.

摘要: The powder coating apparatus is provided with a coating booth into which a ground-connected object to be coated can be delivered and a plurality of coating tools respectively provided on the coating booth and adapted to discharge electrically charged powder coating materials onto the object to be coated. At least two of the coating tools are disposed on walls of the coating booth such that discharge openings thereof for discharging the powder coating materials are opposed to each other. The respective opposed discharge openings simultaneously discharge the powder coating materials onto the object to be coated. The powder coating materials, which are discharged from one of the at least two coating tools and are diffusing in the interior portion of the coating booth, are moved up to the object to be coated by a delivering air discharged together with the powder coating materials from the other of the two coating tools.

摘要: A coating hood adapted to uniformly apply protective coatings to the exterior of hot glass containers is disclosed. The hood comprises a tunnel for allowing the containers to pass therethrough, and an adjustable top for accommodating containers of various sizes. At least two jet slots are located in each side wall, and at least two receiver slots in the opposite side wall are aligned therewith. The jet slots and the suction slots are interspersed opposite to each other in each side wall. The coating compound is introduced through at least one feedpoint, and blowers secured to the side walls furnish high velocity air containing the coating compound. Baffles are situated in the flow path of the high velocity air so that the jets issuing from the jet slots are well defined. Two or more closed recirculating loops are defined by the judicious selection of blowers, jet slots and receivers. The coating compound is fed into the innermost loop, and the eddy currents created between adjacent loops by the closely spaced, oppositely directed jets transfer the coating compound to the outermost loop. In such manner, the outer loop will have a lower coating compound concentration and consequently, a lower loss of coating compound to the exhaust than would occur with conventional coating hoods. Such losses may be further reduced by having the outer loop function as an air curtain over the full height of the coating hood, thus limiting the amount of ambient air entering the hood.
