A vacuum member is positioned around the air nozzle and adapted to vacuum foreign particles away from the container. A system comprises an air source and a manifold having a manifold inlet, an ionization unit, and a plurality of manifold outlets along with a plurality of air nozzles. Each nozzle has a nozzle inlet, a nozzle outlet, and a nozzle passageway extending between the nozzle inlet and the nozzle outlet. The ionization unit is placed within the manifold, and the plurality of nozzles are located on the plurality of manifold outlets such that during operation air is ionized before entering the nozzles. The ionized air is used to clean containers.

The cleaning device includes a wheeled carriage positionable in selected relation to a vessel to be cleaned, an elongated frame having a central drive shaft extending along its length, and a rotatable spray head supported in an upstanding relation to a downstream end of said elongated housing for rotation about multiple axes. The elongated frame is pivotably supported by said wheeled carriage for selective positioning of the spray head within the vessel to be cleaned, and the spray head has a liquid supply which communicates with a liquid inlet to an upstanding support thereof downstream of the central drive shaft so said liquid is not transmitted along the drive shaft.

A machine and a process are described for automatically carrying out the rejuvenating treatment or the sanitizing treatment of a wooden barrel, in particular a barrique, by throwing granulated dry ice. The barrel, from which an ending wall is preventively removed, is loaded on a supporting frame movably mounted on a first column with vertical axis and transferred at a treating head movably mounted on a second column with vertical axis, parallel to that of the first column. The treating head includes a movable delivery nozzle which throws the granulated dry ice against the inner surface of the barrel. The treatment is achieved by the combination of movements of the supporting frame, the treating head and the delivery nozzle.
