    摘要: An apparatus for producing elongate fibers of metal, metallic glasses or inorganic material comprises a rotatable wheel having a planar external circumferential surface, which is flat in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the wheel, at least one nozzle having a nozzle opening for directing a molten metal onto the circumferential surface and a collection means for collecting solidified fibers of metal formed on the circumferential surface from the molten metal and separated from the circumferential surface by centrifugal force generated by rotation of the wheel. An apparatus is provided for controlling a gas pressure applied to the liquid metal which moves the liquid metal through the nozzle opening and delivers it to the circumferential surface of the rotatable wheel. A method of producing elongate fibers is also claimed.

    摘要: Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Vergießen von NE-Metallschmelzen, insbesondere Kupfer oder Kupferlegierungen, zur Herstellung von Flachprodukten mit einer Dicke von mindestens 20 mm, wobei flüssige Metallschmelze aus einem Verteilergefäß (Tundish) mittels eines Abflusselementes in einem definierten Gießwinkel, schräg nach unten verlaufend, in das Schmelzenbad einer umlaufenden Bandgießkokille eingeleitet wird.
    Ausgehend von den Nachteilen des bekannten Standes der Technik soll ein Verfahren geschaffen werden, das eine verbesserte Einleitung der Schmelze in den Pool gewährleistet und das Einspülen von Gasblasen oder Verunreinigungen in die Schmelze der Kokille weitestgehend verhindert.
    Hierzu wird als Lösung vorgeschlagen, dass die flüssige Metallschmelze im Verteilergefäß 1 auf einem Niveau gehalten wird, dass die Metallschmelze aus dem Verteilergefäß 1 nahezu drucklos in das Abflusselement 2 abfließt. Die abfließende Schmelze strömt in diesem als Flüssigkeitsströmung mit freier Oberfläche bis zum Badspiegel 7 der Kokille 3. Beim Auftreffen der Schmelze auf die Badoberfläche entstehende Verwirbelungen werden durch eine das Abflusselement 2 umgebende Begrenzungswand 10 an einer flächenmäßigen Ausbreitung innerhalb der Kokille 3 gehindert. Während des Strömungsverlaufes entstehende gasförmige Bestandteile entweichen über den oberhalb des Schmetzestromes befindlichen Freiraum 11.

    摘要: The invention provides a feeder for delivery of molten metal into a mold formed between confronting casting surfaces of a continuous casting machine. The feeder comprises a projecting nozzle tip having at least a lower wall provided with a molten metal-contacting inner surface, a generally flat outer surface and an end surface at an outer extremity of the tip extending between the inner and outer surface. The inner surface is generally flat and preferably slopes towards the outer surface considered in a direction moving towards the extremity of the tip at an angle of slope of no more than 8 degrees. The end surface is generally flat and extends from the inner surface to the outer surface at an acute angle of less than 88°, e.g. in the range of 15 to 80 degrees, relative to the inner surface in a direction away from the extremity of the tip. The feeder casts a metal sheet article having reduced surface defects caused by rupture of the metal oxide during casting.

In the lower section (4), the width (B1) increases, the distance (A3) of the inner walls (10, 11) being the same, to form a flat cross-section, such as a bifurcated pipe (13), in the direction of the outlet.
