- im Bereich der mindestens einem Bearbeitungsstation 5 ein erstes Werkzeugmagazin 10 angeordnet ist, -- in welchem eine Mehrzahl von Bearbeitungswerkzeugen 9 und/oder Führungsdomen 11 für Innenwerkzeuge 13 aufgenommen sind und -- das ganz oder teilweise zur Bearbeitungsspindel 7 verfahrbar ist, um Bearbeitungswerkzeuge 9 und/oder Spanndome auf der Bearbeitungsspindel 7 anzuordnen sowie
- ein zweites Werkzeugmagazin 12 angeordnet ist, -- in/an welchem Innenbearbeitungswerkzeuge 13 enthalten sind, die aus dem zweiten Werkzeugmagazin 12 oder durch dieses durch eine Öffnung 14 des Werkstückes 2 in dessen Innenraum 15 einführbar und -- dort durch mindestens einen eine weitere Öffnung 16 des Werkstückes 2 durchgreifenden Spanndom fixierbar sind.

Said machining device comprises a clamping mechanism (12, 12', 14, 14') for mounting the plasticizing cylinder (20, 20') that is to be machined as well as a machining unit (40, 100) for machining the conical screw-type bore. According to the invention, the clamping mechanism (12, 12', 14, 14') is rotatably driven and is configured for eccentrically accommodating the plasticizing cylinder (20) that is to be machined such that the plasticizing cylinder (20) is made to gyrate in a wobbling manner about the axis of symmetry thereof when the clamping mechanism (12, 12', 14, 14') rotates, the future centerline of the conical bore forming the axis of rotation. The machining unit (40, 100) is provided with a turning chisel (46, 106) which can be linearly moved back and forth in the direction of the axis of rotation.

The method comprises the step of positioning the longitudinal center axis (26) of the cutting tool at an an-gle (a), which is offset from a normal to a flat surface of the workpiece such that the inclination of the longitudinal axis of the cutting tool substantially corresponds to the desired inclination of the wall of the conical hole to be formed, while rotating the cutting tool and moving it in a circular path about a principal axis and feeding the tool axially. For making holes having a curved wall section the angle of inclina-tion of the longitudinal center axis of the cutting tool is varied during the machining operation. The apparatus for making such holes comprises a mechanism configured for adjusting an angle of inclination of the longitudinal axis of the cutting tool rela-tive to the principal axis.
