Solche Maschinen werden zur Bearbeitung großer Werkstückserien verwendet. Die Anpassung der Lage der Drehräumwerkzeuge an entsprechend unterschiedliche Werkstückabmessungen ist umständlich und zeitraubend. Um eine solche Maschine einfacher und schneller an entsprechend veränderte Werkstückabmessungen anzupassen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Drehräumwerkzeuge auf der Drehräummaschine mindestens quer zur Arbeitsrichtung stufenlos verschiebbar und feststellbar sind.
