In an injection molding machine which has conventionally been used, the water and a gas in undried resin pellets are completely removed by a drier set to a predetermined temperature, and the resultant water- and gas-removed dried pellets are introduced into the injection molding machine, so that thorough attention should be paid to the quality control of the water and gas in the pellets before the pellets are introduced into the injection molding machine. A molding machine, wherein undried resin pellets are injection molded by evaluating the injected resin, controlling the operating conditions including a pellet supply rate and a degree of decompression, and thereby specifying optimum operating conditions under which good products are obtained and an optimum amount of accumulation, an amount of accumulation of pellets supplied to an injection molding chamber being detected, the supplying of the pellets to the injection molding chamber being controlled on the basis of the detected information, the water and gas evaporated from the pellets during a melting process in the injection molding chamber being discharged under vacuum to the atmosphere.

Zudem ist eine Messkammer (31) zur Aufnahme einer Messprobe (19) des viskosen Materials (9) vorgesehen. Die Messkammer (31) weist dazu eine verschliessbare Material-Einlassöffnung (31.1; 85.1) auf. Von der Messkammer (31) führt eine verschliessbare Entsorgungsleitung (36) weg. Des Weiteren ist eine von der Messkammer (31) über die Folgeplatte (7) in den Behälter (8) führende verschliessbare Material-Rückführleitung (37) vorgesehen. Die Fördervorrichtung umfasst auch eine Steuerung (22), die derart ausgebildet und betreibbar ist, dass sie bei mehreren Messproben (19) jeweils deren Kompressibilität ermittelt. Abhängig von der ermittelten Kompressibilität, gibt die Steuerung (22) die Entsorgungsleitung (36) oder die Material-Rückführleitung (37) für die in der Messkammer (31) befindliche Messprobe (19) frei.

In a conventionally used injection molding apparatus, undried resin pellet is put in a drier of a predetermined temperature and water and gas in the undried resin pellet is completely removed, and the dried pellet deprived of water and gas is thrown into the injection molding apparatus. It is therefore necessary to carefully control quality of water and gas of pellet before pellet is thrown into the injection molding apparatus. In injection molding of undried resin pellet, evaluate injected resin, control operation conditions such as the feeding amount of pellet and the decompression degree, and determine the best operation conditions and the best accumulation amount wherein excellent articles are obtained. The accumulation amount of pellet fed in an injection molding chamber is detected, and feeding to the injection molding chamber is controlled upon the detection information. In the process of melting of the injection molding chamber, water and gas vaporized from pellet is discharged to the atmosphere under decompression.
