    摘要: Keyboard for choice of symbols having keys (15) for the highly frequently used symbols divided in two groups, which has a position for placing the fingers except for the thumb for the left hand of the keys to the one group, and for the right hand on the keys of the other group. The groups are arranged at each side of the middle plane for an operator in such a way that the common plane of the key surfaces slope against the horizontal plane by their upwardly turned edges in against each other, and form an angle to the horizontal plane for each of the key planes, preferably about 30° and at an angle to each other by their edges turned away from the operator. The keys in each group are divided in a number of vertically extending rows, having four keys in each row. At the upper side of the key plane, longitudinal supports (18) have been arranged for the thumb of each hand along which support the thumb can slide. The keys and the support for the thumbs are mutually so arranged that at support with the thumb in a displacement position of the hand, a position for said fingers are obtained each opposite one of the four keys in a first row, and a second displacement position opposite the keys in a second row etc.

Other keys (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24) which have keypads greater in area than a value in the prescribed range are designed for keystroke operation by the operator's finger. Alternatively, the stylus-actuable keys (26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32, 34, 36) have center line spacings which are less than a value from a predetermined range of linea dimensions, while the finger-actuable keys (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24) have center line spacings which are greater in value than a value in the predetermined range. Being suitable for use with a graphical tablet (86), another embodiment of the invention is made with keys mounted to a surface which is angled between 30 degrees and 90 degrees from the horizontal plane of a desktop.

    摘要: By providing seven keys in a keyboard so that a pair of keys (3, 4 and 1, 6) is placed at each side of the centre key (7), and one key (2) is placed above and one key (5) below the centre key (7), it is possible, by actuating either one key (Fig. 3), two keys (Fig. 4) or more, to produce up to 127 different symbols. The symbol is produced by pressing that or those keys (1-7) that do not form part of the symbol; this makes the keying operation considerably easier since the entered symbol is seen from the remaining non-actuated keys. This keyboard is thus very compact and will not require such large finger movements as does a usual keyboard with up to 50 keys. If a luminous line (8) is inserted in the keys (1-7), the keyed symbol will appear as a luminous symbol on the non-actuated keys which makes it easier to control and supervise the operation.

    摘要: The inclination adjusting arrangement (11) is applied to a keyboard having a base structure (13) in which a plurality of keys is mounted. The keybard is provided in its lower portion with fixed front support feet and rear support feet (18). The rear feet (18) can project by varying amounts from the bottom (16) of the base structure (13) in such a way that the angle of inclination of the plane of the keys is variable with respect to the desk top. For the purposes of adjusting the degree of projection, the rear feet (18) are pivoted and movable along their own axis by means of a slot (31) which co-operates with a fixed pivot pin (21) on the base structure (13). Each rear foot (18) comprises a positioning tooth (23) which is disposed opposite a support surface (22) and which is capable of selectively engaging with a seat of a series of seats (24, 26,27) of the base structure (13). Resilient means (28) which co-operate with the pin (21) hold the positioning tooth (23) engaged with one of the seats. The seats (24, 26 and 27) are disposed on a circular arc substantially coaxial with the fixed pin (21), in different angular positions for varying the distance of the support surfaces (22) from the plane of the keys. The resilient means comprises a resilient blade (28) which is bent and curved in such a way that its free end (33) engages the fixed pin (21).
