摘要: To suppress deterioration in the quality of a recorded image resulting from the shape of a medium not being stable. There is provided a recording apparatus (1) including a shape adjusting section (11) which adjusts a shape of a medium (M) to a reference shape, a holding section (10) which holds a state of the medium (M) after being adjusted by the shape adjusting section (11), and a recording section (44) which has a discharging section (6) which discharges a liquid to the medium (M) which is held by the holding section (10). With the recording apparatus (1) having this configuration, it is possible to suppress deterioration in the quality of a recorded image resulting from the shape of the medium (M) not being stable.

摘要: A method of print ing an automotive glazing component and an automotive glazing component are described. The method comprises the steps of: print ing a first portion, having a width, of the glazing component using an ink spray to provide a first ink density, the ink density being constant across the width of the first portion; print ing a second portion, also having a width, of the glazing component using an ink spray; and leaving a third portion, also having a width, of the glazing component, adjacent the second portion, unprinted, such that there is a zero ink density on the surface of the third portion of the glazing component. The step of printing the second portion comprises varying the output of the ink spray to produce a non-constant ink density on the surface o f the second portion. By providing a non-constant ink-density on the surface of the glazing, it is possible to provide low-cost high-resolution non-constant optical and thermal transmission regions on automotive glazings.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods for depositing a substance onto an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of directly printing on three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles printed thereby or having a substance deposited thereon. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve creating a re-circulating relative motion between at least one article and a substance deposition device. In some embodiments, the articles can be conveyed in a closed loop path past one or more substance deposition devices. The articles can be conveyed past the substance deposition device(s) one or more times, and during each pass by the substance deposition device(s), a portion of a predetermined pattern may be applied to the articles by the substance deposition device(s).

摘要: Apparatuses and methods for depositing a substance onto the surface of an article are disclosed, including apparatuses and methods of directly printing on and/or decorating three-dimensional articles, as well as the articles that have a substance thereon (such as printing) and/or are decorated thereby. In some cases, the apparatuses and methods involve providing a decorative effect on an article with a decorating device, and creating a re-circulating relative motion between at least one article and a substance deposition device.

摘要: A machine for the decoration of tridimensional products, comprising a basement (3), means (6) for supporting the product (2) to be decorated associated to the basement (3) and a unit (7) for decorating the product (2) associated to the basement (3). The decoration unit (7) comprises a moveable arm (8) rotatably associated to the basement (3), a plurality of print heads (9) of the ink-jet type, provided with at least one head (10) with ejector nozzles, sliding along the moveable arm (8); each of the print heads (9) is moveable from a non-operating position, in which it is spaced from the product (2), to an operating position in which it is in proximity of the surface of the product (2) to obtain a decoration.
