    摘要: By irradiating a laser beam onto an X-ray film that includes a support layer having disposed thereon an emulsion layer, the emulsion layer is melted, numerous minute air bubbles are generated in the emulsion layer, and the emulsion layer becomes convex, whereby a visible dot pattern is formed. The irradiation time and wavelength of the laser beam are selected so that separation is not generated between the support layer and the emulsion layer. By defocusing and irradiating the laser beam, the X-ray film may substantially uniformly receives energy of the laser beam. Moreover, an undersurface layer may also be formed, and the laser beam may be irradiated onto the undersurface layer to form a dot pattern on the undersurface layer. A device and a method for forming a marking pattern representing identification information on a rolled photosensitive material and cutting the photosensitive material into sheets are disclosed.

    摘要: Provided is a laser imageable media that forms both a vesicular bubble image and an infrared image upon exposure to laser radiation. The laser imageable media comprises (1) a substrate, preferably a transparent plastic substrate, (2) an infrared absorbing layer comprising an infrared absorbing compound, preferably an aminium radical cation compound, that exhibits a reduction in infrared absorption when exposed to the laser radiation, and (3) a polymeric layer comprising an organic polymer, preferably nitrocellulose, overlying the infrared absorbing layer. The vesicular image on a transparent plastic substrate is readable with a visible scanner without the use of any reflective background material behind the transparent plastic, substrate.

A method comprises the steps of applying and curing a coating composition comprising (a) a matrix forming material comprising an inorganic oxide or inorganic oxide precursor, and (b) an organic pore forming agent. The marking is provided by removing at least a portion of the organic pore forming agent in a selected location of the coating layer. The marking may be provided on a container with a product or heat-sensitive product inside. Additional embodiments relate to multi-layer coatings and methods for forming multi-layer coatings.
