Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Verbindung von stirnseitig aneinanderstoßenden Stromschienen eines Fahrleitungssystems. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren beruht darauf, dass die miteinander zu verbindenden Stromschienen in einer vorgegebenen Höhe an vorgegebenen Stützpunkten angeordnet und zwischen den Stützpunkten an einem vorgegebenen Punkt um einen vorgegebenen Betrag angehoben werden, bevor die an den Stoßstellen aneinanderstoßenden Stromschienen mit in Ausnehmungen der Stromschienen eingesetzten Verbindungsstücken fest miteinander verbunden werden. Nach dem Anheben der Stromschienen werden die passenden Verbindungsstücke mit den Stromschienen fest verbunden. Dadurch sind die Endstücke der an den Stirnseiten aneinanderstoßenden Stromschienen exakt zueinander ausgerichtet, ohne dabei ausgelenkt zu sein, so dass die miteinander verbundenen Stromschienen exakt auf einer Achse liegen.

Zur Kopplung von zwei parallelen Fahrdrähten eines elastischen Fahrleitungssystems mit einem starren Fahrleitungssystem, das eine Stromschiene (3) und einen daran befestigten Fahrdraht (4) aufweist, ist in einem Übergangsbereich ein langgestreckter Federbalken (5) vorgesehen, dessen Steifigkeit in Längsrichtung vom elastischen Fahrleitungssystem zum starren Fahrleitungssystem zunimmt. Die zwei Fahrdrähte (1, 2) des elastischen Fahrleitungssystems sind längs des Federbalkens parallel zu dem ersten Fahrdraht (4) angeordnet, der seinerseits über die gesamte Länge des Federbalkens eingespannt ist. Alle drei Fahrdrähte (1, 2, 4) sind im Bereich des Federbalkens (5) an mehreren Mehrfachklemmen (9) befestigt, die längs des Federbalkens verteilt angeordnet sind. The invention relates to an expansion connection arrangement for adjoining power rails (20, 20') of an overhead line system for electric locomotives. The power rails (20, 20') to be connected are arranged spaced apart from one another here at a joint distance (s) and each have a contact wire (10, 10') along which a current collector of a locomotive vehicle can slide for the purpose of transmitting energy. According to the invention, a connection profile (50) is connected to the one power rail (20), and a corresponding profile (50') is connected to the other power rail (20'). The connecting profile (50) and the corresponding profile (50') engage one in the other in a positively locking fashion such that they can slide one into the other in the direction of the contact wire (10 and 10', respectively) and are locked transversally with respect thereto. Each of the power rails (20, 20') is respectively connected to a half rail (60, 60') assigned thereto, which half rails (60, 60') support the contact wires (10, 10') between the power rails (20, 20') with the connection profile (50) and the corresponding profile (50'), respectively, and secure them parallel to one another at a defined contact wire distance (d) over an overlapping length (1). As a result, an expansion connection arrangement is made available which is low in weight, compensates large expansion lengths and has good override properties.

An isolating mechanical connector for connecting sections of an overhead electrical power line comprises first and second clamping members, and securing means for securing the first and second clamping members relative to each other. First clamping areas of the first and second clamping members are opposite to each other to form a first clamping region to accommodate part of a first section of the line. Second clamping areas of the first and second clamping members are opposite to each other to form a second clamping region, spaced from the first clamping region, to accommodate part of a second section of the line. The first and second clamping members comprise electrically isolating material to electrically isolate the first clamping region from the second clamping region. The clamping members provide access to the separation region to allow removing part of the electrical power line in the separation region.
