The group of types includes a type of vehicle indicating that the type of vehicle does not depart at the departure time.

The present invention relates to a system and a method for vehicle movement modeling in a network. The modeling is characterized by vehicle related intelligence gathering, processing and dissemination thereof for an adaptive rescheduling of the vehicle movement in the railway network. Predefined data associated with the vehicle in the railway network is acquired and is further processed to resolve one or more conflicts associated with the vehicle movement. The processing comprises of allocating resources, developing plans for voyages, and continuously gathering deviation data. The vehicle movement modeling also comprises of generating detailed layouts of vehicle movements for particular time-periods over the railway network.

Disclosed is method and system for continuously re-generating reactive on-line train schedules for trains running in a large railway network. Railway network partitioned based on user configuration, into first type comprising trunk line and feeder line sub-networks, and second type comprising supervisory dispatch control territories. Sense and respond cycle is continuously executed on multi-processor computing environment, senses dynamic data from field about train movements, and other changes from users. For each first type sub-network, degree of deviation is computed from incumbent plans and congestion in sub-networks. Using degree of deviation and congestion, trains are rerouted and suitable scheduling methods are chosen for each sub-network and executed in parallel and first level train schedules are sent to second level train schedulers working on second type sub-networks which in parallel identify and resolve conflicts among first level train schedules. Second level train schedules are collated to generate reactive on-line network train schedule.

When the login user is defined as upper user of the creation person in the authority setting, the diagram edit terminal requests register and update of the train line information created by the creation person based on authority level of the login user, and the diagram management server resisters and updates the train line information. For deadlock avoidance in a track guided transportation system the invention proposes a method for simulating, planning and/or controlling operating processes of a track guided transportation system, wherein resources are defined which represent track segments of the transportation system, performers are defined which represent transportation vehicles moving into, within and/or out of the transportation system, wherein for each performer at least one associated route with a starting location and a destination location is defined, at least one request from a performer is provided requesting to occupy at least one resource, for each of said at least one request a corresponding system state is determined as safe or unsafe, and- for deadlock avoidance only requests are granted for which a safe state is determined. The invention further proposes a system and a digital storage medium for performing the inventive method.

A scheduling system and method for moving plural objects through a multipath system described as a freight railway scheduling system. The scheduling system utilizes a resource scheduler to minimize resource exception while at the same time minimizing the global costs associated with the solution. The achievable movement plan can be used to assist in the control of, or to automatically control, the movement of trains through the system. Similar movement planners exist for moving trains in yards or terminals. Coordination is achieved and system efficiency improved by interfacing the line of road and yard planners.

A vehicle traffic control system that does not cause course conflicts at intersections. A present position, speed, and destination of each vehicle are collected, vectors are generated to indicate possible courses for each vehicle on the basis of the collected information, and vectors indicating courses of each vehicle are combined to generate matrices. Only matrices where a plurality of vehicles do not approach an identical intersection at or around the same time, or even if such a situation occurs, only matrices where a course of a certain vehicle does not cross a course of another vehicle at that intersection, are employed. Of the employed matrixes, one is selected indicating a course set in which an average time required for each vehicle to reach a destinations is shortest.
