摘要:
A cooling apparatus for cooling a fluid by means of surface water, the cooling apparatus comprising more than one tubes for containing and transporting the fluid in its interior, the exterior of the tube being in operation at least partially submerged in the surface water so as to cool the tube to thereby also cool the fluid, at least one light source for producing light that hinders fouling on at least part of the submerged exterior and at least one optic unit for enhancing the distribution of anti-fouling light on the submerged exterior. By this structure anti-fouling of the cooling apparatus can be assured in an effective manner.

Provided is a system for monitoring temperature and pressure of an enclosed derrick structure, which senses abnormal internal temperature and pressure of the enclosed derrick structure by monitoring the temperature and pressure of the enclosed derrick structure, thereby effectively coping with dangers. A system for monitoring temperature and pressure of an enclosed derrick structure communicating with a moonpool includes: one or more temperature sensors installed in the inside of the enclosed derrick to monitor an internal temperature of the enclosed derrick; one or more pressure sensors installed in the inside of the moonpool to monitor an internal pressure difference of the moonpool; and one or more damping units installed in a side of the enclosed derrick to supply air to the inside of the enclosed derrick or exhaust air to the outside of the enclosed derrick in order to cope with an abnormal internal temperature of the enclosed derrick and an abnormal internal pressure variation of the moonpool. Accordingly, when the abnormal internal temperature of the enclosed derrick and the abnormal internal pressure of the moonpool are sensed by the monitoring of the temperature sensors and the pressure sensors, the damping units are selectively controlled according to the sensing results.

The invention relates to an electric pod drive for a ship, comprising an electric motor having a stator (1), and a housing part (2), at least part of which extends along the stator in an axial direction and which surrounds at least part of the stator in a circumferential direction. In order to provide an electric pod drive having an improved cooling system, cooling channels (3) are provided, running in a substantially axial direction, in each of which at least one cooling medium can flow, and by means of which the electric motor can be cooled. Each cooling channel is bordered, at least radially inwards, by a coating (4) of material having a thermal conductivity of at least 1 W/(m K) and being resistant to corrosion, at least in salt-water conditions.

The invention relates to a pod propulsion unit of a ship. The pod propulsion unit comprises a pod housing (1) arranged at least partly below a hull (2) of the ship, an electric propeller motor (3) within a motor gondola (4) of the pod housing (1), an annular gap (8) between a rotor (6) and a stator (7) of the electric propeller motor (3), and gas channels (9) extending through the rotor (6), a closed cooling gas circuit (10), and a fan (11) for circulating gas in the closed cooling gas circuit (10). The closed cooling gas circuit (10) comprising a feeding duct (27) extending between the return duct (28) and the first motor end face (30) of the electrical propeller motor (3), and a return duct (28) extending between the feeding duct (27) and the opposite second motor end face (31) of the electrical propeller motor (3).

A guide plate 22A, 22B having depressed portions 22 is provided between an array of heat exchanger tubes 21 arranged side by side in a horizontal direction and a next lower array of heat exchanger tubes 21 arranged side by side in the horizontal direction, and is positioned with the lowest parts of the depression portions 22a disposed near crest portions of the respective lower heat exchanger tubes 21. Thus, the guide plate is configured to convey a liquid D flowing down on outer surfaces of the respective upper heat exchanger tubes 21 onto the lower heat exchanger tubes 21 having one-to-one correspondences to the upper heat exchanger tubes 21 even when an inclination in a right-and-left direction of the heat exchanger tubes 21 occurs. Having this configuration, a falling film heat exchanger installed in a ship, an offshore structure, an underwater offshore structure or the like can avoid reduction in heat exchange performance, even when the ship or the like inclines and swings, by substantially evenly distributing and dropping a liquid such as a coolant or absorber onto the crests of the heat exchanger tubes and causing the liquid dropped from the heat exchanger tubes located in an upper array to surely fall onto the heat exchanger tubes located in the next lower array.
