Abstract:
Spun-dyed aramid fibers, wherein spun-dyeing was performed with a completely organic pigment exhibiting the chemical structure of formula (I): wherein, independently from one another, R1 represents a substituent of formula Xa or a substituent of formula Xb: wherein Xa is linked via the group NH having two bonds in the structure represented by Xa, whilst Xb is linked via the carbon atom, which is in a para relationship with the NH2-group of Xb; and R2 represents H or NH2. The spun-dyed aramid fibers exhibit constant colouristic properties and wash proof properties.
Abstract:
A method of transferring a dye to a fiber, braid or composite material comprising applying the dye to a transfer paper to create a dye transfer paper, placing the colored transfer media into contact with the fiber, braid or composite material over an expandable rig or expanding structure such as a metal tube, and applying at least one of heat, pressure, or vacuum to infuse the dye to the fiber, braid or composite material, creating a colored fiber, braid or composite material having minimal to no adverse changes to the physical properties of the fiber, braid or composite material.
Abstract:
A process for dyeing ramie sliver, comprising: 1.) pretreatment: cooking the ramie sliver for 8-12 minutes in a cooking reagent in a bath ratio of 1:4-10, the cooking reagent is a 1-3 g/L aqueous solution of a penetrating agent; and 2.) dyeing: dyeing the cooked ramie sliver in an active dye in a bath ratio of 1:4-10. Also disclosed is a method for preparing ramie yam. The ramie sliver dyed according to the present invention improves the properties of ramie fibers, such that the ramie fibers are less likely to break; and the ramie fibers are less likely to harden, avoiding poor drawing, needle breakage and missing stitches during carding and coalescing in post-procedures, thus achieving the purpose of smooth yam spinning. Also disclosed is a method for preparing ramie colored-spun yam.
Abstract:
A method for dyeing filaments produced by melt spinning a polyamide composition is disclosed. In particular, the method comprises a step of dyeing the filaments during the filament stretching step. Apart from the stretching step, the method comprises the steps of (i) gathering the filaments produced by spinning a polyamide composition and advantageously collected in the form of a yarn, web, cable or roving, (ii) applying at least one dissolved dye to the collection of filaments, (iii) heating said filaments to at least the glass transition temperature of the polyamide composition, (iv) washing the filaments before or after stretching, and (v) storing the resulting filaments in a suitable form. The resulting filaments are particularly suitable for making short or long fibres or for making bulk continuous filaments or flock cables.
