    摘要： In the drive arrangement (1) of a curved roll according to the invention, a direct drive motor (2) is attached to a dead axle (13) of the curved roll at the drive end side end of the roll (5). A rotor of the direct drive motor is attached to a roll pipe at the drive end side end of the roll pipe (14). The bearing of the roll pipe functions also as the bearing of the rotor of the direct drive motor (2), thus no own bearings are needed at the direct drive motor.

    摘要： A method and device for controlling the runnability of a fiber web machine, where a certain layer thickness is removed from the outer surface of the shell of the roll of a fiber web machine, such as a drying cylinder, and where the layer thickness removed from the shell of the roll is replaced with a composite material. The replaced layer thickness is selected considering the vibration-influencing properties of the removed material and of the replacing material so that the critical speed of a roll created by replacing the removed layer thickness with a composite material is suited to the desired running speed of the said roll.

The central plane (26, 28) extends in the radial direction, and the supporting core bearing and also the outer cover bearing are arranged in an axial manner inside the outer cover. The outer cover in the region of both ends thereof can be adjusted, respectively, by an actuator (30) which is arranged inside the outer cover.
