According to the invention, the roller comprises a hollow cylindrical body (2) made from composite material and each end of the body comprises a steel end-piece (3) to be secured to rolling means so as to rotate the roller. The end-pieces, which are preferably made from aluminium or steel, are preferably sleeves or inserts with internal honeycomb structures.

A roller includes a shaft 1, a foam layer 2 and at least one film layer 3 sequentially provided on the outer periphery of the shaft. Both end parts in the roller axial direction of the foam layer and the film layer are cut, a filler layer 4 is provided on the cut surface of the cut foam layer and the cut film layer, at least the cut surface of the foam layer is covered with the filler layer, and the filler layer contains a water-based urethane resin.

Roller 1 covered with covering 3 comprising knit fabric at a surface thereof causes conveyance, supply, or other such movement of an object, or uses air to dry or cool an object as it is moved, or rotates while causing an object to be subjected to suction; knit fabric 3a covering the roller surface has gaps having air permeability and steps 6 comprising stripes in a pattern of bands at the front and back surfaces thereof; the stripes in the pattern of bands are perpendicular to the direction of rotation at the surface of the rotating support body 2; loops making up knit fabric 3a have domains of small loops 4c and large loops 4b which are adjacent in the rotational direction; the large loops 4b are of continuous configuration with little slack at yarn 8; the small loops 4c are of continuous configuration and have entangled regions 3b of yarn 8 in a stitch direction which is an axial direction; the steps 6 are present at the small loops 4c and the large loops 4b; and is a roller 1 comprising knit fabric 3a which is provided at the rotating support body 2 that is covered with the knit fabric 3a in which the pattern of bands 4 is formed in the axial direction.

The industrial roll (10) according to the invention includes a core member (11) made of a metal, a first adhesive layer (12) formed in contact with an outer surface of the core member (11), a second adhesive layer (13) formed on an outer surface side of the first adhesive layer (12), and a cover member (14) formed in contact with an outer surface of the second adhesive layer (13) and made of an elastic material. The first adhesive layer (12) is made of a material with better adhesive properties to the core member (11) than to the cover member (14), and the second adhesive layer (13) is made of a material with better adhesive properties to the cover member (14) than to the core member (11).

Provided is a roller capable of suppressing generation of cut waste from an end of a roller due to contact with another member inside a device when mounted on an image forming device, particularly a conductive roller, and an image forming device using the same. A roller includes a shaft 1 and a base layer 2 provided on the outer periphery of the shaft. A filler layer 4 covering the base layer is provided on end faces of both ends of the base layer in the roller axial direction, and the filler layer is composed of a material having a breaking strain measured according to a tensile test of JIS K 7127 of not less than 120% and a tensile stress at 100% elongation measured according to a tensile test of JIS K 7127 of from 5 to 30 N/mm 2 .

The invention is directed to a machine foot, which includes a top part provided with a lock nut, which is mounted in a thread on a spindle, where the lock nut has an abutment complementary shaped to the housing of the lower part, which abutment forms a section of a sphere, and where there is a first gasket between the spindle and lock nut and where there is a second gasket between housing and lock nut. With the invention is achieved that the lower parts and top parts can be produced and stocked as separate and independent units, which for example are not assembled to a finished product until after order.
