The cavity of the well (24) extends upwardly to provide the interiors of rail-holding mounts (10) between which a bottom flange of a rail may be located. The mounts (10) have open-ended sockets (11) for receiving spring clips used to hold the rail in position between the mounts (10), and the sockets (11) and well (24) communicate with one another. This form of top plate allows less metal to be used for its construction, requires less dressing after casting, and, precisely locates the sockets with respect to one another.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Lagerung für einen Gleisabschnitt umfassend eine Unterlageplatte (10) mit zumindest bodenseitig verlaufender Zwischenlage (12) mit von dieser ausgehenden Vorsprüngen (16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26), über deren Bodenflächen die Unterlageplatte auf eine Abstützung wie Schwelle abstützbar ist. Um sicherzustellen, dass unzulässige Belastungen der Unterlageplatten nicht zu einer Beschädigung dieser führen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass mittelbar oder unmittelbar von der Unterlageplatte ein eigensteifiges flächiges Zwischenelement (44) ausgeht, dessen abstützungsseitige Fläche in Bezug auf die Bodenflächen der Vorsprünge in Richtung der Unterlageplatte bei üblichen Krafteinleitungen in diese zurückversetzt verläuft, und dass bei unzulässig hoher Krafteinleitung in die Unterlageplatte die Steifigkeit der Zwischenlage durch das Zwischenelement durch Abstützen dieses auf der Abstützung vorgegeben ist.
