The production facility can separate hydrocarbons and water concurrently received from the first conventional hydrocarbon and the second natural gas hydrate reservoirs. The at least one hydrocarbon reservoir and the at least one hydrate reservoir can be concurrently developed. Or else, the at least one hydrate reservoir can be developed later in time and then fluidly connected to the production facility.

Each annular barrier has a tubular metal part and an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part. Each barrier has an inner face facing the tubular metal part and an outer face facing an inner wall of the existing production casing. The inner production casing has an outer unexpanded diameter which is smaller than the first inner diameter of the existing production casing. The existing production casing is redressed by introducing the inner production casing into the existing production casing, arranging the first annular barrier on one side of the first inflow section and the second annular barrier on the other side of the inflow section, thereby isolating an inflow of fluid from the first inflow section, encapsulating the first inflow section of the existing production casing by expanding the expandable metal sleeves of the first annular barrier and the second annular barrier, thereby isolating the first inflow section.

Processes and systems for fracturing a formation are disclosed. Tools that may be selectively opened and closed are positioned on a tubular liner that in turn is positioned within a subterranean well bore. Separate pairs of packers are also attached to and positioned along the tubular liner so as to straddle each tool. Fracturing fluid is pumped from the surface through the tubular and open tool and past a pair of packers at a temperature and injection rate which causes contraction of the tubular liner. Thereafter, the velocity of the fracturing fluid is sufficient to set the pair of packers adjacent the open tool. Continued pumping of fracturing fluid is directed by the set packers into the adjacent subterranean environs at a pressure sufficient to fracture the subterranean environs.

The invention relates to a multistage high pressure fracturing system and tubular hydraulic valve (THV) system for connection to a completion string to enable isolation of a zone of interest within a well. In particular, the system enables access to a downhole formation for fracturing the zone of interest and for hydrocarbon production. The system generally includes a plug counting system, a plug capture system and a valve system wherein dropping a series of plugs down the completion string enables successive capture of individual plugs within individual THVs for subsequent fracturing operations.
