    摘要: The present invention relates to a downhole completion system for enhancing hydrocarbon-containing fluid production in a reservoir. The downhole completion system comprises a base structure supporting a well control means, a main casing comprising a plurality of first and second annular barriers, each annular barrier comprising a tubular part mounted as part of the casing, and an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular part with an opening through which fluid enters to expand the sleeve, the main casing being fluidly connected with the well control means, a side track casing fluidly connected with the main casing between the first and second annular barriers so that the casings are fluidly connected, wherein the side track casing comprises first and second side track annular barriers and an inflow control device arranged between the first and second side track annular barrier for controlling inflow of well fluid into the side track casing and further into the main casing. The present invention also relates to a completion method for completing a downhole completion system and to a completion production method for enhancing a production of hydrocarbon-containing fluid in a reservoir through a downhole completion system.

    摘要: Certain aspects of the present invention are directed to a distributed inflow control device that can be disposed in a wellbore through a fluid-producing formation. The distributed inflow control includes a shroud that can be disposed in the fluid-producing formation. The shroud circumferentially covers a section of a tubing string. The shroud includes a profile having multiple flow paths between the fluid-producing formation and an inner volume of the section of the tubing string. Each flow path restricts a fluid flow through the flow path and is independent of each other flow path. The distributed inflow control device also includes a seal over the profile including the flow paths. The seal causes fluid to flow from an inlet to an outlet of each flow path and prevents fluid from entering or exiting each flow path at a point other than the respective inlet or the respective outlet.

    摘要: A system and method in accordance with the invention communicator remotely with remotely controllable down hole tools in a well bore at a drilling installation. At the surface, high energy pressure impulses directed into the tubing or the annulus, or both, being at a level to propagate through an interface between very different impedances zones, such as an upper level gas zone and a lower level of mobile fluid media extending down into the desired downhole location. The pressure impulses, provided by directionally gating along the longitudinal confining path a pressure impulse initially having sharp leading and trailing edges, reach the downhole location as physical perturbations forming a discernible pattern that can be detected by one or more energy responsive transducers. With combinations of these signals, one of a number of separate control devices can be remotely actuated. The system avoids the need for physical or electrical connections and concurrently greatly reduces the likelihood of accidental operation.

The valve includes a valve body (102) having an internal chamber (114), a plurality of ports (104, 106, 108) formed in the valve body, a ball (122) disposed in the internal chamber, and an actuator (150) operatively connected to the ball. The ball includes at least one flow bore (126). The actuator shifts the ball into at least a first position wherein the flow bore is in fluid communication with at least two of the plurality of ports, and a second position wherein the flow bore is isolated from at least one of the plurality of ports. A related method includes conveying a drill string having the above-described valve along the wellbore and controlling a flow of fluid by shifting the ball using the actuator.
