An electro-magnetic throttle valve (100) is provided which is configured to regulate the flow of a working fluid into a compressor (200) of a fluid compressor system (1000). The EMTV (100) comprises an inlet (102), an outlet (104), a ferromagnetic valve plate (116), and an electromagnet (122) to actuate the movement of the valve plate (116) between a fully open position and a closed position. The EMTV further comprises a valve rod assembly (130) to guide the movement of the valve plate (116), and a blowndown conduit (144) that is configured to connect a discharge line of the compressor (200) with the inlet (102). The valve rod assembly (130) has a valve rod (132) with an orifice (135) that aligns with the blowndown conduit (144) when the valve plate (116) is at the closed position, thereby releasing pressure within the fluid compressor system (1000). A fluid compressor system (1000) for compressing a working fluid which includes the EMTV (100) is also provided.

The present invention relates an intake valve actuating system (13), specially to reciprocating machines, the use of said system in compressors and a compressors starting method, promoting advantages on the compressors starting, minimizing the power needed on said reciprocating machines. Specially, the present invention comprises a controlled actuating mean (1) actuating an intake valve (13), by a coil (7), while a piston (12) starts its reciprocating movement. The intake valve (13) can be displaced, at the expense of the reciprocating movement of the piston (12), displacing a relief spring (10), avoiding overloading the coil (7). The present invention is situated on field of Mechanical Engineer, more precisely on the area of Flow Machines.

Eine, insbesondere medizinische oder dentale, Verdichtereinheit zum Verdichten eines gasförmigen Arbeitsfluids, insbesondere von Luft, umfasst einen Zylinder (20), einen Kolben (26), der in dem Zylinder (20) mittels eines Kolbenantriebs (28) bewegbar ist und mit dem Zylinder (20) einen Arbeitsraum (44) begrenzt, eine Einlass-Ventilanordnung (58), über welche ein gasförmiges Arbeitsfluid bei einem Ansaughub des Kolbens (26) von einem Einlass (48) in den Arbeitsraum (44) hinein strömen kann, und eine Auslass-Ventilanordnung (66), über welche Arbeitsfluid bei einem Verdichtungshub des Kolbens (26) aus dem Arbeitsraum (44) heraus zu einem Auslass (52) strömen kann. An unloader assembly and method for unloading a compressor, with the unloader assembly including one or more fingers configured to engage one or more valve elements of a suction valve of the compressor. The unloader assembly also includes a biasing member coupled to the one or more fingers and configured to bias the one or more fingers downward such that the one or more fingers follow the one or more valve elements, and an actuating rod coupled to the one or more fingers and extending longitudinally therefrom. The unloader assembly further includes a first reservoir containing a smart fluid and adapted to receive the actuating rod, and a coil disposed at least one of proximal to and within the first reservoir, with the coil being configured to produce a field when an electrical current is supplied to the coil, to change one or more viscoelastic properties of the smart fluid.

A hydraulic machine in which the volume of working fluid displaced by each cylinder is selectable on each cycle of working chamber volume by active control of one or more electronic valves has a controller configured to select specified groups of cylinders to repetitively carry out active cycles until a change in selection is made. The groups are selected to reduce torque ripple and/or bearing side load. The cam profile may be varied to further reduce torque ripple.
