The sealed type electric compressor allows the size of an outdoor unit to be reduced by accommodating the motor driving unit in the sealed vessel and reliably performs a signal transmitting/receiving operation to/from an exterior.

A diagnostic system (100) of the refrigeration/ air conditioning system monitors the status of the motor protector (54). The diagnostic system (100) includes logic circuitry (104) that diagnoses the type of problem the compressor (10) or the system is having based upon the running times and status of the motor in conjunction with the times and status of the tripped' motor protector (54): The diagnostic system (100) also includes either a discharge pressure sensor (330) or a condenser temperature sensor (332), an ambient air sensor (334) and a voltage sensor (402,404). The sensors (330,332,334,402,404) provide information to the diagnostic system (100) which enables it to determine where a system fault has occurred.

摘要: A conventional control system for an electrical heating or cooling apparatus has a thermostat 103 which controls a compressor 102 to cycle on and off. For peak load periods, a load shedding signal is sent out by the power company which controls a duty cycler 100 via a radio receiver 101. The duty cycler 100 sets reference ON and OFF times from the last thermostat cycle, and thereupon over-rides the thermostat by preventing the ON time of each cycle from exceeding, and the OFF time of each cycle from being less than, the reference ON and OFF times. To prevent tampering, the reference ON and OFF times may be restricted by preset maximum and minimum values respectively, and reset during a load shed period if the thermostat ON and OFF times fall short of or exceed the reference times respectively. Alternatively, the reference times may be taken from the last thermostat cycle whose times are within preset limits.

The near end electronic device (2) uploads the at least one parameter to the cloud server (3) via a network (4). The remote electronic device (5) downloads the at least one parameter from the cloud server (3) via the network (4). Accordingly, staff at the remote end is able to get parameters of the pump apparatus (1) by the remote electronic device (5), so as to adjust the pump apparatus (1).

The capacitor is electrically coupled to a compressor. The current sensor measures current values of the alternating current power. The controller is configured to receive the voltage values and the current values. The controller is configured to determine a first power factor value based on at least one of the voltage values and at least one of the current values. The controller is configured to selectively detect a first capacitor fault in response to concurrent determination that (i) the first power factor value is less than a first power factor threshold and (ii) a first current value of the current values is greater than a first current threshold. The first capacitor fault indicates that a capacitance of the capacitor has degraded.
