A part of the fitting hole (66) has tapered surfaces (70, 72) formed such that the closer to the outer peripheral side, the smaller the diameter. As a result, when driving force is transmitted from a differential case (50) to side gears (58l, 58r) through the pinion shaft (56) and the pinion gear (60) which is rotatably supported by the pinion shaft (56), the pinion gear (60) is moved outward in the axial direction of the pinion shaft by meshing reaction between the pinion gear (60) and the side gears (58l, 58r). A fitting clearance C between the pinion shaft (56) and the pinion gear (60) increases as a torque transmission load increases, and this provides the device with high durability.
