Disclosed is a wobble plate type variable displacement compressor that uses a constant velocity universal joint mechanism, which comprises an inner ring and an outer ring, balls that are held between guide grooves of the inner ring and the outer ring to transmit power, wherein a wobble plate is connected and fixed to the outer ring. In the compressor, the wobble plate is provided with a cylindrical part which extends in the axial direction of a swash plate, and in the relative rotation structure between the swash plate, and the wobble plate and the outer ring, the swash plate is supported to be able to relatively rotate only in relation to the wobble plate via a bearing interposed at least between the cylindrical part and the inner diameter portion of the swash plate, without being supported to be able to rotate relative to the outer ring. With this wobble plate type variable displacement compressor using the specified constant velocity universal joint mechanism, the relative rotation structure between the wobble plate and the outer ring, and the swash plate, can be improved, workability and productivity can be improved, and the cost and weight can be reduced.

An axial mechanism for converting between linear reciprocating motion and rotary motion comprises a z-crank shaft, a wobble member rotationally mounted to the angled crank pin of the z- crank shaft, and one or more pistons with a connecting rod between each piston and a pivot joint to the wobble member. In one embodiment the connecting rods have sufficient inherent flexibility to accommodate sideways motion in a 360° orbit at the wobble member end of the connecting rod. In another embodiment there is a lubrication communication passage from within the wobble member to each of said pivot joints. In another embodiment each such pivot joint is fitted to the wobble member an integral unit. In another embodiment the z-crank shaft is supported for rotation by bearings all positioned to one side of the z-crank shaft, spaced along the output drive end of the z-crank shaft. In another embodiment a torque restraint member is coupled between the wobble member and a non-moving reference point via a resilient mount or bearing which allows for limited oscillatory and longitudinal movement of the torque restraint member.

Two synchronous hydraulic polyphase motor-generators with axial cylinders are connected by rigid or flexible pipes (39). One functions as a generator, the other as a motor to transmit torque and power. Sinusoidal piston motion in each polyphase motor-generator is developed without the use of cams. The pistons cause columns of fluid to alternate between motor and generator, producing synchronous rotation. Apparatus (62, 70, 78, 80) for synchronizing, coupling and decoupling the motive force are disclosed.

In the casing (1) of the proposed axial-piston machine is located a cylinder block (2) with cavities (10). The axes of the cavities (10) are parallel to the longitudinal axis (01-01) of the shaft (11) and pistons (12) are mounted inside said cavities with the possibility of reciprocating movement. Each of the pistons (12) is hingedly connected to one end (14a) of a rod (14). The other end (14b) of the rod (14) is hingedly connected to a sloped washer (15) which is mounted by means of a first support (22) on a sloped neck (23) of the shaft (11) mounted on supports in the casing (1) and which is hingedly connected by means of universal couplings (34 and 35) to the casing (1). The machine is further provided with a second, spherically shaped support (49) of the sloped washer (15). The support (49) is connected to the casing (1) and its centre (03) coincides essentially with the geometrical centre of a coupling element (47) of the universal couplings (34 and 35). Through the centre (03) passes a bisector plane (p-p) constituting the symmetry plane of the universal couplings (34 and 35).

Bei einer Antriebsvorrichtung für seitlich hin- und herbewegte Messerbänder an Mäheinrichtungen landwirtschaftlicher Erntemaschinen, die aus einem Taumelgetriebe besteht, bei dem zu einem in einer Gehäusewand (1) gelagerten ersten Wälzlager (4), dessen Innenring (7) durch ein Antriebsrad (8) angetrieben ist, ein zweites Wälzlager (11) in geneigter Lage angeordnet ist, dessen Innenring (9) in Verbindung mit dem Innenring (7) des ersten Wälzlagers (4) steht, und dessen Außenring (10) einen hebelartigen Fortsatz (17) aufweist, der unmittelbar oder mittelbar gelenkig mit dem Messerband verbunden ist, wird eine besonders geringe axiale Baulänge dadurch erreicht, daß die Innenringe (7, 9) der beiden Wälzlager (4, 11) und die Nabe des Antriebsrades (8) unmittelbar aneinandergrenzen und direkt, z. B. mittels Schrauben (13) miteinander verbunden sind.
