The discharge means (5) comprise a pneumatic valve (8), which is opened, when the level of the lubricant is at the upper limit, and to let pressurized air flow into the intermediate tank (1), whereby the pressurized air pushes the lubricant out of the intermediate tank (1) through the outlet channel means (3), and prevents the flow of pressurized air into the intermediate tank (1) when the level of the lubricant falls to the lower limit. A counter valve (9) is arranged to prevent the flow of the lubricant out of the intermediate tank (1) into the inlet channel means (2).

The refilling system also includes a refilling station including a refill housing having a connector configured for releasable connection with the reservoir connector, an inlet on the refill housing adapted for connection to a supply of lubricant, and an outlet on the refill housing positioned for fluid communication with the reservoir refill inlet when the reservoir is connected to the refilling station to allow delivery of lubricant from the refilling station through the reservoir refill inlet to refill the tank. The refill housing connector is functionally identical to a connector on a pump assembly so the reservoir including the tank can be removed from the refilling station and removably connected to the pump.

Innerhalb eines Gehäuses (20) sind zwei axialkraftübertragende Kupplungspaarungen (22, 24) und, zwischen diesen, eine drehmomentübertragende Kupplungspaarung (26, 28) angeordnet. Zwischen jeder der beiden axialkraftübertragenden Kupplungspaarungen (22, 24) und der drehmomentübertragenden Kupplungspaarung (26, 28) ist innerhalb des Gehäuses (20) je ein ringförmiger Hohlraum (42) ausgebildet. In einen der ringförmigen Hohlräume (42) mündet ein verschließbarer Schmiermitteleinlaß (44). Diesem Schmiermitteleinlaß (44) mindestens annähernd diametral gegenüber ist am Gehäuse (20) ein Luftauslaß (54) angeordnet, der an den anderen der beiden ringförmigen Hohlräume (42) angeschlossen und ebenfalls verschließbar ist. Damit wird erreicht, daß die Hohlräume (42) in kurzer Zeit vollständig mit flüssigem Schmiermittel gefüllt und von Lufteinschlüssen befreit werden können.
