A combustor, in which a flame holding region is formed at a location distant from a pilot burner to avoid burnout of the pilot burner and in which flame holding capability is increased to use a lean pre-mix gas for reducing NOx emission, is provided. The combustor includes a combustion liner having a cylindrical side wall that defines a combustion chamber; and a main burner positioned at a top portion of the combustion liner for injecting an annular pre-mix gas into the combustion chamber to form a reverse flow region at a downstream portion thereof, which region is oriented towards the top portion of the combustion chamber along a longitudinal axis. In this combustor, a pilot burner is arranged at the top portion for injecting a mixture of fuel and air only in a direction confronting the reverse flow region.

The invention discloses a forced reversal combustion chamber (3), which comprises a combustion chamber body, configured as a hollow cavity which is similar to a arcing shape formed by folding fingers towards palm and symmetrically configured around center of palm; a plurality of swirl vanes for delivering combustion air into the combustion chamber (3), correspondingly provided on interior side of flame outlet end of the combustion chamber (3); in the middle of inner end of the combustion chamber (3), a fuel nozzle (2) is provided, which inserts into interior wall of the combustion chamber (3) and outlet of which extends through the interior wall of the combustion chamber (3); outlet end of the combustion chamber (3) after mixing air and fuel is flame outlet. The forced reversal combustion chamber (3) of the invention could overcome defects in the prior art, such as bad flame stabilization, low burn-off rate of fuel and poor environmental protection property, and achieve advantages of good flame stabilization, high burn-off rate of fuel and good environmental protection property.

A hole part (24) for ejecting the combustion gas (G) is formed on a tube wall of the inner tube (20) and combustion gas (G) is ejected with ejection characteristics such that circulating flow is formed on the periphery of a stagnation point. According to this combustion heater, a stable flame can be formed without increasing costs and the heating efficiency can be improved.
