    摘要: The present invention provides a novel simple, portable, compact and inexpensive approach for interferometric optical thickness measurements that can be easily incorporated into an existing microscope (or other imaging systems) with existing cameras. According to the invention, the interferometric device provides a substantially stable, easy to align common path interferometric geometry, while eliminating a need for controllably changing the optical path of the beam. To this end, the inexpensive and easy to align interferometric device of the invention is configured such that it applies the principles of the interferometric measurements to a sample beam only, being a single input into the interferometric device.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for compensating for measurement uncertainty due to atmospheric effects. In one embodiment the apparatus includes two sources separated by a predetermined distance and two target locations separated by a predetermined distance. The radiation at the target locations is combined to form an interference pattern onto a detector which generates a signal corresponding to the measurement having a substantially reduced error due to atmospheric effects such as temperature variations. In another embodiment the radiation from the sources crosses somewhere in the measurement environment as it propagates toward the target locations. In yet another embodiment the separation between the two sources is substantially the same as the separation between the two target locations.

    摘要: Optical coherence tomography light sources can be non-linear and attempts to linearize them can lead to asynchrony between the light source and A-line scans and missampling in the scans causing signal noise. Accordingly, a system and methods are provided herein to detect missampling by obtaining a plurality of interferograms; providing at least two wavenumber reference signals at different wavenumbers, wherein the wavenumber reference signals comprise attenuated or enhanced portions of each of the plurality of interferograms; aligning each of the plurality of interferograms according to one of the at least two wavenumber reference signals; and for each of the plurality of interferograms, identifying an interferogram as missampled if another of the at least two reference signals does not align with a corresponding reference signal in a statistically significant number of the plurality of interferograms. An optical element, for example, an optical notch, may be used to generate the reference signals.
