    摘要: The present invention relates to methods of setting up an instrument having a multiplicity of detector channels for analyzing a multiplicity of fluorescent dyes. In particular, methods and reagents are provided for determining spillover (fluorescence spectral overlap, crosstalk) of one dye in detection channels intended for the detetion of other dyes. Calibrated spillover values are predetermined for each fluorescent dye using the fluorescence emissions of a "broad-band" reference material that emits in each of the channels. The present invention is particularly applicable in the field of flow cytometry.
