摘要: A system includes an inspection robot having mounted sleds, and a number of sensors each mounted to a sled. A couplant chamber is disposed within at least two of the sleds, each couplant chamber between a transducer of the sensor and an inspection surface. Each couplant chamber includes a cone, the cone having a cone tip portion at an inspection surface end, and a senor mounting end opposite the cone tip portion. A couplant entry for each couplant chamber is at a vertically upper side of the cone in the intended orientation of the inspection robot on the inspection surface.

摘要: A method implemented by means of computer (16) so as to detect anomalies of an unknown component, including determining (314) a plurality of zones (9) of the unknown component and performing at least once the steps of: generating (500, 502, 504) a spectrogram relative to an acoustic signal generated by striking a portion (6) of a zone (9) of the unknown component; between a plurality of binary classifiers (70) each one relative to a corresponding zone (9) of the unknown component, selecting (507) the binary classifier (70) relative to the struck zone, each one of said binary classifiers (70) classifying spectrograms relative to acoustic signals generated by striking the corresponding zone on respective two classes indicative of a spectrogram relative to an acoustic signal generated by striking an undamaged version or a damaged version of the corresponding zone (9) respectively; by means of the selected binary classifier, performing (508) a classification of the spectrogram in one of the respective two classes; and detecting (510) the presence of an anomaly in the struck zone of the unknown component, on the basis of the classification performed by the selected binary classifier.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for a multiple channel laser ultrasonic system using a single detection laser and a single generation laser for inspecting internal structures. An example system includes a laser generator configured to emit generation laser light, a laser detector configured to emit detection laser light, and a scanning apparatus. The scanning apparatus is configured to receive the generation laser light and the detection laser light, direct the generation laser light and the detection laser light onto a surface of a structure via a plurality of laser ultrasonic channels, and collect reflections of the detection laser light from the surface of the structure via the plurality of laser ultrasonic channels. The system also includes a controller configured to characterize an internal feature of the structure based on the reflections.
