An inserting and removing mechanism that performs the turning on and off a polarization filter and an inserting and removing mechanism of an infrared ray cut filter are realized in a common mechanism. An imaging device unit (21) having an imaging device (212) is accommodated inside a camera body (20). A polarization filter (33) that transmits light beams having a predetermined polarization component among light beams incident on the imaging device (212) is provided. The polarization filter (33) is supported by a first frame part (36) and is rotated by a first motor (43). A second motor (37) is capable of inserting and removing at least the polarization filter (33) and an infrared ray cut filter (34) with respect to an imaging region of the imaging device (212). When the second motor (37) inserts the polarization filter (33) in the imaging region of the imaging device (212), the first motor (43) interlocks the first frame part (36) and the polarization filter (33) is rotated by the first motor (43). Therefore, it is possible to selectively use the filters and to steplessly adjust a polarization angle of the polarization filter (3).
