Systems and methods are provided to facilitate correct execution of a machine jog operation where a plurality of interfaces can generate a machine jog command, which is received by an industrial controller. One or more machine jog commands can be received and state data is maintained regarding whether a machine jog command has been received. An OR gate logic operation is performed on the state data to determine whether a machine jog operation has been received from any of the plurality of interfaces, and in the event of receiving a machine jog operation, a control command is generated to effect a machine jog operation. The plurality of interfaces enable interaction with the controller, to facilitate control of a machine from a plurality of locations. The system can be expanded to include further interfaces. Also, information regarding a machine jog command can be published to the plurality of interfaces.

Le premier mode de fonctionnement comprend la commande indépendante de chaque actionneur (16, 18), ce qui permet une manipulation selon des coordonnées polaires, et le deuxième mode de fonctionnement comprend la commande synchronisée des actionneurs (16, 17) de façon à déplacer en ligne droite l'extrémité de l'élément (12). It is presented a method of controlling an industrial system by means of a control system comprising a user interface having main display means arranged to provide a status view of at least a portion of the industrial system and secondary display means enabling user interaction with the industrial system and the main display means. The method comprises: receiving (S1) an alert concerning a status change in a part of the industrial system; displaying (S2), on the secondary display means, an alert object associated with the part of the industrial system generating the alert; detecting (S3) a selection of the alert object based on gesture-based user input; displaying (S4) the alert object on the main display means; receiving (S5) an adjustment command of a parameter via gesture-based user input, the parameter being associated with the part of the industrial system generating the alert; adjusting (S6) the parameter based on the adjustment command; and controlling (S7) the part generating the alert based on the adjusted parameter.
